As someone who has always had a keen interest in racing and working in it for a couple or three years until I was 19 its shocking to hear the paralysis to his lower body caused to Freddie Tylicki in a mid race fall at Kempton this week. Jump racing leads to some devastating injuries of course, but when you have a fall in a flat race traveling some 15mph faster than in jumps racing (and usually on much firmer ground) the potential consequences are multiplied.

He;s just 30 and had his best season ever. Bless you, you are in the best possible hands.

Yep. Was horrific seeing the footage.
Very brave lads all of them, jumps and flat.

I don't follow horse racing but did read about it. Shows you how perilous professional sports can be. Hope he comes to terms with the changes this will mean for him. Also hope the right support is in place for him and his family to make the adjustments required. Very hard to come to terms with this sort of life changing event.
