That's quite impressive. In terms of the league and the promotion contenders, it's actually a pretty big game, isn't it?
Probably Although most supporters 'just want to be there' for the first game of the season and because there is such a feel-good factor around the place.
I went for the e-ticket option as no way was I gonna pay £1 more for a paper ticket. Even if they do look better.
What an atmosphere there will be at FP. Even Oxford Utd have done their bit selling all of their 2,500 allocation
Looks like the crowd could be your 12th man this season...I hope that they continue to come through the gates because the main income will be ticket sales and success is in the hands of the fans like never before.
Ah, that's awesome. And well done to Oxford for selling out as well. As someone else said; gonna be a wall of pure blue noise
The capacity of Fratton Park is around20,700, but with [I assume] three rows of seats at the Milton end covered in netting to separate the fans, does any-one know what the actual figure is likely to be. Allowing for the odd single seat here and there, will it break the 20,000 mark? When was the last time a fourth tier league fixture had a crowd of over 20,000 in attendance?
I believe due to health and safety concerns and a few issues to be resolved around the ground capacity is around the 18000 mark for now.
My God, Lapras, that is one "in your face" football strip Actually, I was thinking more of Soton FC - after all, that is one of the 'fonder' nicknames we have given them
With the way Cortese is taking them, I don't think you can really call them deckchairs anymore. Although deck chairs would be more stylish than their current kit.
Got to say I wasn't keen on their Liverpool with pin stripes - it just didn't look like them - I thought their old "Peru" away kit was a good effort and I'd rather they went for something a tad more traditional for their home kit this season.......but then again truth be told I'm not really that fussed.
http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/article/temporary-capacity-reduction-955245.aspx 18200 at the moment. I image the issues are mainly in the north upper. It's quite worrying home much that moves when the place is rocking!
