Look like the best team I have seen so far....... very powerful. Did anyone tip them to go all the way?
Agreed......France are good but not that good. After all, it's all about putting the ball in the net and so far it's only a pen that puts them ahead. I await a dazzling display and a ****full of goals in the second half. Looking forward to seeing Belgium, as on paper they have a fantastic side and are many peoples dark horses.
DT has been tipping them ever since he's been on here, he got seriously embarrassed when we qualified ahead of them in the Euros and they imploded...
Hollands second half display was excellent but they defended poorly in the first half. We shouldn't get to carried away with that. Funnier things have happened than Spain ending up going further.
I think it's all about experience. Certain teams just know how to win and can get the job done, no matter how lovely the other team look or play. You're the complete article when you've got both qualities.
No way anyone can say France were excellent or the best team so far ... it's was our first start against a team of thugs however I have always known France produce great footballers and then maybe great teams. I was very pleased with the result and the tactics of my adopted team. The culture is intact IMO and there are some excellent signs ... the lucky group and the bench and options. I think can only get stronger and Pogba looks like he is going to be yet another French world star. England did alright IMO but were made to pay a bit with a naive formation IMO against a very good team Italy. Italy in fact look as strong as any of them IMO ... France look strong also ... That is not an accident lads Today i heard on the radio they all want Rooney's scalp ... give me a chance UK he has only just grown it
Pogba should have been sent off for his reaction. He was a very lucky boy to stay on the pitch. Without that, it's 10 men, Pogba's not on the pitch for Palacios to foul again so he stays on - so completely different outcome. Best so far - by a mile - have been the Dutch. Contained Spain in the first half, were unfortunate with the penalty, adjusted before half time to what was a very un-Spanish way of playing, and the second half was like world Champions against a pub side.
Dutch had a great result for sure but sorry don't agree they are the best ... it was a great result ... Spain will come back and be in the last four IMO because they play the modern game the right way IMO Pogba could of easily got sent off but what a player he looks (I hope a few on here see that now?) Only a UK culture can focus on what may of happened or should of happened ... it didn't and there is one of the clear differences in the way the UK thinks compared to the rest of europe and maybe the world. The dutch have not been the best footballing team by a mile they have however they have had the best result ... 5-1 superb result. I fully expect the Spain to come back very strong as they currently still for me hold the perfect formula for today's football. Van Persie's goal outstanding in that match but overall dreadful defending by Spain and the Dutch got some real luck served up: 1 goal was gifted and a few chances the other end not taken ... that's Football and it's only just started. I would rate B&H as being in the top three sides i have seen so far and they lost last night. For me IMO : Italy, Colombia and B&H well ahead of the Dutch in terms of the football they play
