One of the team I have a real soft spot for - he always looks slightly mad when he gets going (I mean that in a good way) I will miss him

Not a loss, will have been on good money and was often caught out at League 2 standard so would have struggled to play League 1. Good luck to him but it's for the best he leave. Better players than him available cheaper.

 

When's the Martin's message going to come about this then. I hope we don't lose Burton as well.
With Andy Frampton I am disappointed that he has gone as he was a lot better last season than the previous season, he was important at times and his experience is key and he is a leader however he is not the most important player and he isn't getting any younger and he isn't the best player so maybe it is time for the younger players to have a chance (Davies, McKain) however still come back to it that it was a shame that Essam went. Still sad that Frampton has gone but maybe it is time for younger players to come through.

 

Good servant to the club, good character both on and off the field. Sad to see him go but not a real loss for the team. Same how I felt about Mark Bentley really.

 

I am not sure Frampton could have done a job for us in L1, but he was a key part last season. He is getting on a bit now and he would probably want more first team football and he'll get that at Wimbledon. Good luck to him

with the new guy pegged to play holding midfield and gregory as back up along with payne as it stands dont think there was a fit for him there and at cb we have 2 good youngsters coming through and experience old hand cbs are two a penny and cheap to pick up usually. so not sad to see him go but wish him all the best

 

Good luck for your future Andy. You have served Gills well. Sadly time has caught up with your legs (and plenty of speedy opponents have overtaken those legs !) The deal is good for all concerned - but we do have better, quicker & probably cheaper in the squad.
