Me neither, was good in the PNC but clearly found out in the PL where he was terrible apart from 3 or 4 games.
PK has served us well but I'd rather have Foster as No1 keeper. Paddy as second choice if he would stay but I imagine he would prefer to go.
Looking back on his performances, there were at least 7 goals he conceded by moving to one side only for the ball to go where he was standing and into the net. I know MH is after Foster but still think Craig Gordon would be as good and on a free. Rob Green is on a free as well so do we need to spend £5Mill?
I agree with the above....He let in some stinkers this season , but i'll still miss him between the sticks...
HTML: The only thing with Gorgon is he didn't play last season and will need time to get going again. But where as Foster played every game for wba last season is well up to speed with the pl.
Thing is it all works itself out in wages anyway. so outlay over 4 years prob won't be much different. Don't agree Gordon should be ranked with these two, he will do well to get a game in the CCC.
I think the quote for signing green was 50k a week on wages. That would be £13m over 5 years Sign Foster for £5m and pay him 40k and it would be £15.4m and hed still have some resale value. Foster is worth more than 500k a year over Green. Barton is a prime example of a "free" costing the club a fortune.
Gordon's a very poor Goalkeeper. If Hughes wants Foster, people had better be prepared for a lot of howlers from this guy. Maybe he makes up for it with some great saves, I don't know. As far as I'm concerned, neither are any better than the pudgy stopper we have already. Which says it all about the pair of them really.
I am not too ggod at seeing good players at teams other than QPR because unless a game doesn't involve QPR and isn't reaally good or needs a winner to help us stay up etc, I tend to fall asleap! Likewise I barely watch players on the oppostion teams. But one goalkeeper I have the impression is good is the Danish no 2 to de Gea at United. Can't remeber his name, but I know he is young, he played in Norway before joining United, and have seen him play very well for Denmark. Maybe he wants more regular first team football than he is getting at ManUl?
