This is a most unusual and incredibly negative article from the EDP Why would you commit like this? It's just going to bite you in the arse when thy do get called up.
It seems a strange article and many of his reasons we have known since Capello resigned. Also, just because he had Foster and Zamora doesn't mean he will pick them. Isn't foster retired from international football anyway?
It's by paddy davitt, slow news day I guess. He should phone the Samaritans/canary call (not necessarily in that order)
foster has retired but he may reconsider now capello has left. i'm not a ben foster fan at all but i agree he deserves to be called up on current form, ALONG with ruddy, not in place of him. as for zamora, the guy has been hopeless this season - i really can't see him going

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. They'll cheer for him when he scores for England And, in the case of Ipswich fans, they'll die a little bit inside as well
so one world cup scorer (martin peters) thinks holt should go and the other scorer thinks he shouldn't. i'm going to say that as polls go thats pretty clear. if 50% of the population of england world cup winning scorers say holt should go, he should go!!

let's face it chaps, Roy's appointment put the nail in our coffin. A new manager will play it safe and not pick any untried players. I know that's negative. he'll pick Zamora over Holt, plus Bent could be available now
I get not taking Holt for maybe Crouch or a young striker. No one would really complain or think it was a stupid decision but if Zamora goes to the euros and we embarrass ourselves (not unlikely) then Hodgson will be crucified by a media who already don't like him.
Heres the scenario. Hodgson takes Holt and Zamora and they both play against France and we win 2-1 and both score. Sweden are beaten 3-0 and both score. Ukraine next. Does he change the team and Rooney get picked?
