just found this http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/norwich-watching-newcastle-keeper-forster-celtic-1620981 i think if we could send him out on loan to them then he can get some vital games in the premier league and he has been out on loan to them before where he did well so he will fit in well as he would know most of the players anyway what are your thoughts ?
I still think retain Forster, send Krul out on loan to Celtic (or Norwich) to evaluate how he does at a top level team with a good run of games and then we have more evidence of which keeper succeeds Harper as No.1
thats what i thought but we have seen a few games of krul playing. If it was forster out there then we could see how he does and he will fit right in
Lets see what happens during pre-season. Send Harper out on a holiday to the Carribeans, let Krul and Forster battle it out, but from what i've seen, i'd personally rather keep Krul Forster doesn't look all that great to me, and Krul has been great in his 4 games back. He's already earned us some vital points this season.
Harper hasn't got that long to go now and we're lucky we've got two good young keepers to fight it out for his place. We need to hang onto both of them if we can.
I agree 100% with that. Both have kinks to iron out of their games but they are both young, talented and have time on their side to improve. I just want that improvement to come whilst still at NUFC.
Forster needs to play in the EPL. It's the only way we can see how he performs at this level so we can directly compare the two.
I'm sure I seen an article that Pardew stated all three will report for pre season and all three will be given an opportunity to show the boss why they should be Newcastle's number 1 for next year.
This, Krul's already proved he's up to the job in the EPL, Forster needs to do that now. Luckily we've managed to keep Krul happy this year with Harper's injuries.
