well i think he could potentially be a very good keeper but i prefer krul and if we promote him this season then i can see him hanging on to the dutch No. 1 shirt which of course will raise his value considerably.

i would rather him go on loan again - but also we get 1.5m , around the same we got for routledge and do nowt with it ! trimming a really thin squad, get peanuts in fees and getting no-one in as a replacement. on the other side i think we have as many decent goalies as anyone in the league

Forster proved in the Leeds friendly that he isn't good enough. We don't need him either, as Krul will be the number 1 for the next 10 years, if not more.

he makes one mistake and suddenly he aint good enough, thats how keepers learn from there mistakes, based on your logic after Krul flapped at the cross against Chelsea at the end of the season that means he aint good enough, Harpers whole game against Stoke means he aint good enough looks like we need a new keeper then

At the moment Krul is a long way ahead of Forster in the pecking order, and I think he'll be our #1 even when Harper is fit. We've also got young Alnwick & Soderberg for emergencies, GK is one of the positions we can afford to lose a player. Forster isn't going to be happy as a backup after two seasons in the first team at Norwich and Celtic. Ideally I'd prefer him to go on loan to Norwich or Birmingham, but I think he'll want a permanent move.

I hear what you are saying, no need to jump on players backs after 1 mistake. I do however think Forster is ****e, not because of 1 mistake at Leeds, because he could barely handle the SPL last season. I don't know 1 single Celtic fan that wants him back and I know a lot of Celtic fans, speaks volumes.

Prefer to keep him. Its foolish to write a keeper off at his age. The odd one will be fantastic from a young age, but in the main you need to be patient and wait till their mid to late 20's before you actually know how good they'll be. I see no reason to sell any of the three keepers but it may be that Forster does not want another loan deal. Depending on the situation contractually, we may not have a lot of choice. Plus you must always consider the interest of the player as a manager. I'll be disappointed to lose him as I think he'll make a cracking keeper in time but Krul and Harper are better currently, so if a loan is not a viable option then I can understand him going.

    Zaluska, Polish goalkeeper.

The Celtic fans are split on Forster. I actually think he's a good goalkeeper but some 'tic fans think he's weak when it comes to commanding his area and dealing with back-passes. In terms of commanding his area, that comes with age and experience and Forster has plenty of time on his side.

I would like to see him at Parkhead, preferably on a permanent deal.

Keepers are judged by the mistakes that they make and the stand out saves which they make.

I can't remember Foster making too many mistakes last season, but I can't remember a single outstanding save either. I have however seen our current backup (filling in as first team) making plenty of horrendous mistakes in the past, so if it happens it will be an improvement.

Tim Krul also has to work on his command of the box when coming for crosses as he can have a tendency to flap a bit. But he's a brilliant instinctive shot-stopper. With Forster I think it's only a matter of time until we sell him, I'm sure there'd be a few takers.

There was also a save against St Johnstone which was outstanding.

Would be a shame, it's always nice to see local lads break into the first team, however, I think people only seem to want to hold onto him because of this. The fact of the matter is he isn't as good as we'd like him to be -at the moment- and we can't just keep loaning him out to clubs waiting for him to come good.

To be honest, the problem with a few of the Celtic fans I know have never got over Boruc leaving and are finding it hard to belive anyone is good enough to replace him!!
