That's a wicked draw! Big club, they should bring a few with them and I'd say we're in with a shout. Shame we won't renew old acquaintances with Mr Tyson but it's gonna be funny to see the Wally with the Brolly! I think we could do them.
Yes, we can beat them. I remember drawing Forest in the LG Cup in the 90's - in the old 2 leg 2nd round days. They were PL then and beat us 1-0 at their place (Bryan Roy) then we were beating them 1-0 at AP until Jason Lee (Pineapple on his head) won it for them in extra time. They has some good players then including Stuart Pearce.
Typical! My hometown club coming to AP and I'm on me holidays! Friends have described the Reds so far as static and toothless and Steve Macca has failed to buy a striker...could be a good game for WW if they set about them.
Really JS is that true? That's shocking! What if it's your regular seat? have you got to go and sit somewhere else? Nothing surprises me about the mis-management of this football club, it's like the Keystone Cops are in charge. Or the current coalition government. They're all pretty hopeless really!
Jock - League Cup games dont have regular seating as season ticket holders have to pay like everyone else.
Devon - I know they're not reserved seats and season ticket holders don't get them but what i mean is what if it's your favourite seat?
forest fans not very complimentary about our club http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=27400
Dream draw for me as my brother is a Forest fan. We've been waiting 15 years for this re-match! Strange decision shutting the Frank Addams upper, surely it would be better doing some initiative to try and attract a bigger crowd instead of just giving up hope altogether like JSwwfc says. But I've never sat in the lower stand so will be good to watch from a different viewpoint. I don't expect I'll be lucky enough to escape the upper tier moaners though.
It would be very interesting to see how many would turn up if it was totally free for one match. That would be one way of assessing the absolute maximum attendance achievable. I don't know what % of these would need to return as paying customers to recover the loss on the one game. Depends how many non season ticket holders usually turn up each week.
i have a personal view that being a season ticket holder league cup games should be included if they are at adams park and dont see why i should pay extra for watching a home game after i shelled out my money pre season to buy my season ticket.i wont be there to watch us play forest at home because of that reason.
Can't say I blame you Rocky. These people seriously need to take some advice id customer servicing. They seem to have no idea.
I think buying a season ticket should give you automatic entry to rounds 1 & 2 of the league cup - it would mean many more attending and make it a better deal to buy a season ticket. Obvious to thousands of us, lost on the few that decide!
