Currently for the month of August we have achieved a total of 2 points against a personal preseason forecast of four points after the Swindon Town game. Leaving my predictions before the Bristol City game on -2. Do not despair, during the course of a season there will generally be a variance of -6 to +6 versus my own points summary. My target is set at 63 points and a 11th position finish. I've not checked but my initial thoughts would be to at least achieve somewhere between 51 to 53 points as a minimum in an attempt to avoid the league one drop zone. The table below indicates what my outlook was for August, although ignore the score lines which I include purely for my brb prediction league, however, instead convert those scorelines to a win, draw or lose scenarios: please log in to view this image Also Gills members have predicted their own season reckoning on our finishing position for our 2013/14 campaign which can be found here courtesy of member 'throwoff': http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/222033-Season-Finish The maximum number of points we can now achieve for August is five if we beat Bristol City at home. With an ever improving team performance and a very difficult challenge to the start of the season, up against last season's playoff contenders and a previous Championship side we should not be disheartened. Thoughts please...
We've been so close to achieving more points. A late winner against Col U and late late late equaliser against Brentford has reduced our points tally by 3. We all knew we had a tough 1st month with 2 teams making last season's play offs and 2 relegated from the Championship. I am actually feeling encouraged that are performances are improving. Once our 1st win is under our belt I'm sure we'll kick on.
