I think for the first time since he joined us we saw the real Andy Carroll yesterday. Power, pace and great team work. His link up play with Suarez looked very promising and he took his goal well.
This was the player I was so pleased we signed, the player who looked such a talent at Newcastle.
Lets hope he gets a run of games and continues to improve.
Also special mention about Charlie Adam who ran the game yesterday.

Carroll played well and we mixed up the service to him, some high balls some to feet and to space. Adam was also good as was Skrtel.

Yes he did have a good game yesterday he was getting service from the rest of the team for the first time this season
A great mix of passes and crosses into his feet and head really great to see.As for the likes of Adam,Skrtel they had a good game as well. And it was great to see Agger play and have a good game,he bossed the back 4 very well i think Skrtel had such a good game through playing next to Agger When Daniel is fit he is just simply great

Definitely the best that Suarez and Carroll have gelled together was yesterday. They both played well.

Andy looked really up for it too.

Henderson seemed to link well with both of them too, his confidence is defo increasing

Good stuff. We are making so many chances Andy should eventually get a bit of consitancy. He does have a good finish after all.

The key for me is we keep playing him. No use benching him.

I'm not so sure that Kenny will keep playing him. Kenny is wedded to his squad philosophy and that will be the drive force for his team selection.

I agree that he does need match time. The more he shoots/heads the better his finnishing will become. It was pleasing to see how willing he was to to look for passes to teamates.
