I assume you saw the England Spain 21's..... how good was Thiago? If you get him in that Fabregas deal that will be well good for you! he was tormenting England all night and looked way ahead of most of the players in terms of not only ability but speed of play. Jeffren might be erratic but would not mind him coming to us as he has bags of pace and skill! Bojan looked a little shaky when he came on. Anyway, I know you pop on our board from time to time and wanted your thoughts on that!
I don't think they need creativity in their midfield.I think they need a boss,Yann M'Vila and he's only 20 would be ideal for them,or even Gago and He's only 25. They seriously need muscle. They are the opposite to us,they need muscle to go with their flair,we need flair to go with our muscle.
Didn't see the game but I have watched him before for Barca and he looks pretty good. More of an Iniesta than a Xavi in my opinion. If we sold Fabregas to Barca I wouldn't want a youngster as part of the deal, I would want someone who can come in and be a key player for us by the first season, someone like Pastore. In Wilshire and Ramsey we have enough young talented midfielders. Not sure what to make of Bojan really. When he was 18 I thought he would be one of the top strikers in the world by the time he was 25 but his development seems to have stalled. I know its hard getting in ahead of Messi, Villa et al but even so I thought he would play more. As for Jeffren I doubt he will have much of a career at Barca. A decent squad player perhaps but I don't think he is good enough for a top team. You should go for someone better in my opinion.
I added this, or Thiago rather as he is in the deal for Fabregas if they get him ( I think, who knows with the rags). They might lose Fab who is their main creator but are getting a young and extremely skillful player in return to possibly not skip too much of a beat there. I know they need muscle, I can see them going for a Sakho in the back and like you say M'Vila, M'Bia, Annan, knowing Wenger's love for that monster in the middle, but what they have not had.
I only say Jeffren as we have made contact with him, but if it was a choice between him and Marveaux, its Jeffren, but if it is Mata, that is a no brainer as well. Bojan and Dos Santos I can remember coming up and looking really promising and then just fluttering. Did they not both score some rediculous amount of goals in the youth system as well? Thiago looked very smooth out there, I think you will get him if they really want Fab and you can use that 40 or so mil for the other players mentioned.

I don't know why no one has mentioned Anthony Annan, he is 25 I believe so a bit seasoned and was awesome for Ghana and would probably not cost too much , at the most 15 mil probably but would think more around the 10 mark. He looked class this past summer.
Completely different player now though KPR, has some Ligue 1 titles under his belt and just recently captained ( or still does) France, he really has come a long way and we missed out on a very solid player.

Bojan probably needs to move to a club where he will play more so he doesn't become a wasted talent. Maybe Villareal as part of the Rossi deal if it happens. As I have said I don't really want Thiago if it means we have a midfield 3 of Ramsey, Wilshire and him because although it would be pretty cool to have a bunch of players that talented it would be making the same mistakes that has stopped us winning a trophy in ages. Besides Barca will probably take him back like they are doing with Fabregas as soon as he becomes world class
Ya Schalke but wonder how recent that was? Javi martinez is a shout but Bilbao have been holding out for there stars lately, in January they turned down offers from us for Llorente and it was, I believe, in that 25-30 mil stratesphere.

Vidal, Palombo and Inler are all good shouts. Palombo especially given his team have been relegated. I don't really know whats happening with Vela. As you can see from the clip he is pretty talented but in real games (e.g. prem, champions league) he just disappears unless we are 3 goals up. Doubt he will be with us much longer given he isn't even good enough to start for West Brom.
