It goes from bad to worse.... Sunderland have reportedly made a move for Stoke forward Peter Odemwingie. The 34-year-old forward has hardly played for two years after suffering a knee ligament injury in August 2014. But he signed a new deal with the Potters last summer. The Guardian reports that Sunderland have made an inquiry about taking Odemwingie on loan until the end of the season. Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce will have several irons in the fire as he tries to find players who can come in and help the fight against relegation. http://m.sunderlandecho.com/sport/s...with-stoke-forward-peter-odemwingie-1-7695957
If this is as good as it gets then we're ****ed. Going from spending £14m on Ayew to Odemwinge on loan
Even if we thought he was any good, at 34 and little played for 2 years , how many games will go by while we hear " he needs time to get up to speed / get match fit"
Chronic injury problems ✔ Lacks match fitness ✔ Best years are behind him ✔ Not particularly good to begin with ✔ Scouts don't have to leave the country ✔ Sounds like the perfect Sunderland signing to me
