Correct me if im wrong but don't we have 31 points from 19 games under MON? This after inheriting Bruces mess. That forecasts as 62 points over a season and that would be our best ever performance in the Premier League. Get some perspective!!!
Its a sad day when we get well beaten, voice our honest opinion then are called wingers for doing it.
Perspective is.........................we are a long way from anything............ Sometimes brilliant sometimes ****e... Consistency is the name of the game....................and not mutual ****ing over something we may achieve....
Its not directed at you its the ones who've gone a step further. We are all disappointed and i know things get said in the aftermath but a couple of comments I've read are ridiculous.
I am very happy with what we have achieved and very happy with MON. My complaint is simple, when we are good we are fantastic but when we are bad we are crap. MON says that both Catts and Bardsley had knocks but wanted to play, he should have said no. Sess is not and never will be a lone target man. We now need a week off and 6 points from our next two home games to get some pride back.
Syd, you know I respect you BUT maybe you would be better off not posting straight away after such a result. You are quite the emotional chap when it comes to this glorious game (as am I) and it would be a shame to see everyone fall out like has happened in the past
I'm pretty ****ing positive, but MON is not beyond reproach. That is the 4th embarrassing display under his tenure, and I hope he is looking at the mentality of several players.
Well said, these days happen, you would think we were getting hammered every week with some of the knee jerking. The fact is we still have some very very average players in the squad and there is only one man to blame for that and its not MON, he isn't a miracle worker although he has come close to it this season.
Agree. I love MON and I can't wait for next season. Hopefully players that aren't good enough leave and better players come in. Roll on next season. If we hammer Wolves next match all will be forgotten.
I havent been on here winging about the result but i think the added expectation O'Neill brings has a lot to do with it. Under Bruce I wouldnt have expected **** all from this game but under O'Neill I have been surprised every time we have lost cos I dont really expect it.
You would think he is blind at times. If we can recoup the money we spent on him i won't be dissapointed to see the back of him. Wickham = £8m Gardner = £5m ji dong won = £2m elmo =£2m £17m wasted, and the reason why Mon COULDN'T bring a striker in in Jan.
When M O'N came in at christmas i think a boring mid-table finish to the season would have been accepted by most of your fans. You were flirting with relegation and he steadied the ship. Given that he hasn't really changed personnel I think there needs to be a reality check here, what he may do in the summer with some signings and a proper pre-season is surely a cause for optimism given what he's done taking over mid-season with half a good team and low confidence.
well for me he has to take the blame for this one!! it just pisses me off that mon cant do no wrong in some people's eye's yes he has done amazing since he took over and he is using someone else's players but that was the case when we were playing well and getting results!! now we have played ****e a few times now and it's always not his fault he didnt buy the players etc etc.... it was his fault and the sooner people wake up to the fact that he is not "god" haha the better imo.. we will get better under oniell but please for **** sake stop with the mon is god bullshit he is a very good manager but he ****s up just like we all do from time to time...
I think we need to get away from the MON worship as well but one thing for sure is that he is a damn good manager and he can't really be judged until he has built his own team. What has been highlighted is that no matter how much endevour and hard work is put in it can only get you so far as you will eventually get found out as you can't keep it up game after game. We are currently three or four quality players away from being a good team, every team needs its workhorses which we have in abundance but the extra quality is whats needed to change a game and make the difference. All you have to do is look at Newcastle, call them lucky if you want but it's that extra bit of quality that have won them the games that some would say they didn't deserve to win. It's now down to Short to back MON as I think he has proved himselve, so the next few months will be the teller on whether the clubs ambitions match its fans.
