First season I played Sharp on the right as either an 'advanced forward' or 'poacher' while on the left I had Lambert as a 'target man' on attack. I tried playing Lee a few times but he just couldn't get going - he was awful for me! And kept getting injured too. - In reply to Andoversaint
I am doing great at the moment, I sit 4th in the league at the moment, also I am through to the Quarter finals of the Europa league again, I won it last year, I am in the 5th round of the FA cup and also in the final of the League cup, one cup I have not won nor got to the final, however I don't care about the League cup as it is not a very important cup. I doubt I will finish in the top 4 this season, I would be happy with 6th of 7th. I am well happy with how well we done. This defender is doing so well 4 games since signing the young defender from the Italian league and he has 4 goals, that is great for a defender, he keeps on developing at this rate and he will be playing for the first team in the next 2 years maybe.
I have the money to splash out on big players but no one is interested in joining! I need a big target man up front! Any suggestions? In summer 2014!
I have Niang and he is not always consistent, Ayew is my top scorer but it took him months to start getting goals this season, Sterling has been best for me all the time, 10 goals this season, he plays for Liverpool and at the start of the game is about 16, he is great for me now after I got him off Aston Villa who brought him off Liverpool an it is funny to say that as look at this from the League cup final.
I now have the double. Delac was only my back up keeper last season and then I had to sell Krul however the assistant said that he was better than Krul and he has been showing that this season.
On the first version of FM12 - Niang was banging them in for me! However it probably differs as to how you play your team/formations etc.
Carlos Fierro has been scoring 50 a season in all competitions for me. He's kept this up for three seasons and is now a club legend.
I have him on loan and he hardly gets any goals in the league for me, he and a few others who are supposed to be great do not work for me.
Yes, on there he done well at previous clubs but he does not do well for me at Gillingham, may just be the team I play don't suit him, I have had a few players who don't fit in, a few Mexicans, a few Germans and also a few French players.
I have just made the signing of this guy, he was put on the transfer list after saying he wanted to leave, he is highly rated however his club just wanted to let him go, I am not sure yet if he is the right player to sign but he has cost nothing upfront but if he does well I will have to pay around 6 million if he plays 50 games and also get 20 goals.
I set myself a challenge to make my squad personality "highly professional" by only signing players with a professional mentality and letting any disruptive influences go, no matter how good they were. I have to say, it's worked wonders. The newest addition is Zakaria Labyad. I recommend him highly.
Got this weird thing on FM2012, whenever I'm in a game, and I click tactics, but I don't actually change anything, when i go back into the game the game speed goes back to normal (and I like it fast) and it goes back to 'full match' (but I tend to watch extended or key). The only way to get it back to extended or key is to go back to tactics and actually change anything...but sometimes it's not necessary to change anything...has anyone else had this and if so do you know how to fix it?
You have to click "cancel changes" or something on the tactics screen rather than just go back into the match
He was great for me in the past, I sold him to Roma when a big offer came in, they offered cash plus a regen player who actually looks better than him after only a few games.
I hadn't actually noticed him until now. He's 28 at this point but has had a great career so far and my scout says he's professional and will fit in with the rest of my squad so I've bought him from Reading for £14.25m. Hopefully he'll make the difference and help me to my first La Liga title. I'm sick of finishing 2nd.
