Now, todays result is by-the-by. We drew, we should have won, we need more up front. Thats all I have to say. What I would like to bring everyones attention to is the moron stewards particularly in the Barclay and Snakepit Now, on recent record these ****ing morons have proved themselves to be more useless than an Ipswich Striker (take the Liverpool fan running on to the pitch where they all just stood there gawping) but they delight in nothing more than telling everyone to sit down. It's coming to a head because they are literally trying to kill the atmosphere in the stadium. Apparently 4 snakepit fans had their season tickets taken away for standing. Newsflash you jobsworth ****s! Everyone stands in the snakepit! It's not so much that they are getting people to sit down, I understand they have to by law, but they are taking it TOO FAR. From a bloke that sits in the Jarrold I have a message to them all "Your all **** at your jobs, **** off, your just a man in a ****ing jacket" end of rant.
They are less than useless, don't see the ****ing point in them. I hate to think what they'd do if anything serious happened.
Its strange really, I do see the point of having them but really they have very little power. If anything serious happens the police are involved. Enforcing sitting down does annoy the hell out of me.
It's not just CR either, I was at the Reading away game and pretty much everyone around me stood all through the first half, but 5 minutes into the second they arbitrarily decided we should all sit down...
I would say i sit in the barcley, but truth be known i have only sat twice this season. i have been taken out of my seat by the stewards and been hold to hard over my season ticket but refused and actually told them if they want to give me £50 for it they can have it as that how much a replacement is. after ten minutes of listening to the steward tell me about laws about standing they let me back to watch the game (Wish they had not ) could have gone back to the pub) but you cant blame the stewards, they are being told by the powers above to inforce it and it happens every now and again usually after a league inspection at our games.
They r useless quite happy to tell home fans to sit down and shut up but dear not say a word to away fans I sit very close to the split in the Jarrold and see it all the time they also will not eject away fans who misbehave while sitting in the home area they may as well not be there
Beef, you do understand they do what the club tells them to do. You are essentially telling the club employees to **** off. REAL fans don't complain about anything to do with the club they support, we should all back their decisions to the hilt. You of all people should know that Beef. Keep this up, in 4 years time you might mildly disagree with a player being picked.
having bought two tickets for the sunderland game getting as close to the away section as possible ( as we are sunderland fans , sorry) anyway had a drink and food at the river side ,atmosphere was good with both sets of fans enjoying the banter. walked to the ground and made our way to our seats with city fans all around us and me in my safc shirt, still all ok, talking to city fans about both clubs freely, my pint had made its way down and i needed a pee ,got the steps and at the bottom a steward pulled my arm and stood in the way, he then asked me if i knew where i was sitting and why, i told him that yes i did and was here to watch a football match, he called me a ****ing ****er and said he would be watching myself and my wire and if sunderland scores and we jump from our seats we would be ejected from the ground. as i said up until then our day was fantastic with two sets of fans having a great time. i told him it was his type that is ****ing football up, with his attitude and actions, he then threatend me again with ejection so i asked to see his superior, at this point a city fan who was sitting next to us to find out what the problem was, this steward then told him to **** off or he would be ejected as well, the cty supporter and us had only ten mins before hand, and he apologised on his clubs behalf , at this point he warned mee again not to stand when our team scored as he would see to us. i did write to the club with no reply. this blokes ignorance was incredible , a yellow jacket and a little power, believe you me he is doing your club and the game much harm.. ...we lost 2.1 and yes we did jump up . this said the city fans around us were brilliant and friendly

They love it and you know it! These people love the attention and the power trip and they obviously don't give a **** about the atmosphere at the ground in their little world. If you think the snake pit andthe Barclay are going to take **** from little napoleon syndrome copper-wanabes you can think again. It got ugly agsinst fulham, it's only a matter of time before they pick on the wrong bloke at the wrong time and incite a riot. Thats by-the-by though. they've proved time and time again that they are incompetent. Whether this is a training thing or otherwise I don't know. Needs to be addressed though.
Got to say the stewards in the Jarrold stand/Aviva corner are top guys. Always there to help the disabled fans and there helpers at the front, showing fans to there seats who buy casually and so far have been polite with me and my kids. Speak as you find i guess.
You've got to admit though Beef, some of the fans, especially those in the Snakepit don't help themselves. Two announcements were made during the Fulham game reminding fans Carrow Road is an all seater stadium and by law they have to enforce this and after both announcements the Snakepit rose as one and started singing 'we'll stand if we want, we are the snakepit, we'll stand if we want'. Zellery mention ground inspections being made and I seem to remember last year there was talk of us getting a very hefty fine and possible closure of the Snakepit after one such ground inspection because of the standing and charging forwards after goals have been scored. The stewards might be a bit heavy handed with their methods, but they are just carrying out orders sent down from above to prevent us getting reprimands from the Premier League.
