I know its from a comic book but if Fletcher has suffered a relapse of this condition can he be counted on making a full recovery? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3698033/Darren-Fletcher-facing-virus-KO.html Obviously I hope he can and I wish him all the best in that but we will need to replace him for the coming season if he does not.
Both key players for us, so yes very worrying times... Fletcher more so as he was out for 2months last time and doesn't seem to of beaten this bug : (
The problem with the virus is that it's not a case of when your over it, it's pretty much back into the action. He looked like he lost a ton of weight and probably needs a lot of conditioning work to get his strength and stamina back up to match levels. Hopefully he'll take enough time to get over completely rather than risk him sooner than he is ready and risk further problems from the virus.
Valencia's injury shouldn't be anything serious though, and even if it was we have plenty of wingers especially after Young's arrival. Whereas in central midfield we are a bit light so Fletchinho being out is a major problem. Promote someone from the youth setup I say
I'm hoping SAF provides some sort of reassurance in the near future. He must act now, and secure the services of a decent midfielder. We've obviously struggled in terms of not being unable to keep possession. In addition to that, we have now lost Fletcher to an unspecified injury. Envisaging the future based on the midfielder in our team, the most likely outcome will be finishing below than expected if we do not sign a decent midfielder.
