Away first and last game eh? Thanks to the fixture computer for that one! - At least the Mags game is a bit into the season this time though

I like the look of the first six games. there's a good chance of picking up some early points there and could set us up in good stead if we hit the ground running.

I wonder if the club ask for the first game to be away to give the pitch extra time to sort itself out.

Since the concerts have started we have always been away first game

Right ! Mr O'Neill, your next job is - assembling YOUR/OUR new squad, then let it all begin !

Martin O'Neill can't wait to get stuck into his first full season in charge at Sunderland. The Northern Irishman, who joined the club last December, saw his side handed a trip to Arsenal on August 18 when the fixture lists were released this morning. O'Neill, whose Sunderland side head into their sixth successive top-flight campaign, will see his players return to pre-season training next month. And he says preparations for 2012-13 are already rolling along with exactly two months to go until the big kick-off. "The confirmation of the fixtures galvanises everyone's thoughts towards the new season and the planning and preparation has already begun in earnest," he said. "Our opening game is certainly a challenging one.

I've been informed by a source at bSkyb that all those fixtures are wrong and will be changed, but only after youve taken holiday from work/arranged travel and accommodation and fallen out with your best mate because you can't go to his wedding cos it clashes with a home game :-D
