I can see it being today. We're only after 2 at the moment, Being Kelly and McFadzean. From the 2 id rather see McFadzean sign as its more important. He really does look the piece and just what we are crying out for. In a perfect world we would have both players before the Leicester game as our midfiled and defence at the moment is just terrible. Doesn't help losing our 2 best players. Its going to be an extremely hard game Saturday but we usually play well against Leicester at home so im slightly confident. One of these signings though will boost the atmosphere around the ground so I think its important we pull our finger out and get one of them in ASAP
Is there any more info on the Paul Caddis rumour. Seems like he could be useful having good experience at RB and all accross the midfield. Only leaving Swindle because of the volatile di Canio.
The Grasshopper might sign I guess. Even a short term contract until the end of the year would be enough I expect
I want him to sign, scored a brace in the friendly so cant have done himself any harm in getting a contract.
I think we need to see ANY movement today, dont we Shiny? A new player from anywhere will lift the spirits. I wish I worked a Ashton Gate as a cleaner and could listen at doors and check the rubbish bins...
Evil post is now reporting it http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Kilm...d-Liam-Kelly/story-17817368-detail/story.html
Well with 2 out and I rather expect that Pitman and WEoolford were two of our higher earners should free up cash fot new signings not sure what is happening on the McManus front though Surely DM can NOT still think that Fontaine is the answer to anythng other that the fast road to relegation.
According to a middlesbrorough report hawk, No offer has been made, For a loan or permanent. TBH he hasn't impressed me at all. Was better in his first loan stint. Id rather see us go for another young CB and partner him with McFazdean and let them build that crucial partnership
http://www.centralfm.co.uk/news/sport/34484-killie-boss-confident-he-can-hold-on-to-liam-kelly Makes you think.....
Hopefully whoever we get in will have a bit more pace than Pitman and Woolford - something the side has been lacking I like the fact that we are going for younger players
What else would one expect the Killie manager to say? He wants to keep his best players like every other manager. But it may now be out of his control as once a board accepts an offer it signals that the player will be leaving sooner or later. So while we appear to be first in the queue at present, I hope another club doesn't screw it up for us. Any new signing this week has to have some positive effect on the club and fans.
For the money he is reported to be on, I would be happy enough to see Mcmanus eave the club, not sure he provides much value for money, only problem then is that leaves us with Fonts and Tangledfeet!!!!!!!!!!!
Am I the only person that thinks we're stupid to sign a defender that two years ago was a non-league player? I think he's alright, but I think he'll get creamed by Championship forwards. Also, our chairman only recently stated his belief that we should be targeting young players, and as McFadzean is 26 next month this goes against what Lansdown's has said. If we want a defender at around 25-26 that will be both cheap and good at this level we should be looking at Jonathan Spector. A good defender and a capable midfielder at a pinch.
