I have to say in all honesty 3 points out of the first 2 games Im happy with, because on paper they looked very difficult matches, If we can kick on from here and bring in a couple of quality loan signings then we have the basis of a promotion winning side, we look thread bare but I for one know Colin will be trying to pull the rabbit from the hat !! he has put a virtually new team together over the summer and if they start to gel then we could be in for a good season, there are quite a few very good teams in this league and we have played 2 of them already, if we can win our home games and nick a few points on the road then all good, just like to say thank **** the season has started, M.O.T
strach, I think most fans would agree that 3 points from those first 2 games is pretty good. The thing that I think frustrates us is not understanding the positional decisions and substitutions made in games - particularly the Blackpool game. - First choice right back played at left back, - "The best left back in this division" left on the bench, - Varney is criticisized but it is McCormack who is subbed out.
Have to agree very frustrating and Im not sure why he did what he did, lets hope he changes it for pboro game !!
Would be nice if he spoke about these things after the game or at least the interviewer should be asking but perhaps he would be giving team secrets away?
3 points from two games I can accept - It was being totally dominated by Blackpool and the performance that hits the message home that we are a mid table team this season. If I supported Bolton, Cardiff, Hull, Blackburn or any of the other teams that are fancied or finished above us last season I would happily rule us out of contention for this.
