Hi, new poster here. I've managed to organize a trip to the UK to coincide with the first 2 weeks f the season so am expecting to be at LR for Bolton and (with skillful negotiation) have got out of a birthday party with the in- laws In Bristol to go to Everton. I am a little nervous though about tickets though I've never had an issue on previous visits (last was 2 years ago) but that was then. Will there be any problems getting tickets while overseas?
Thanks for that, it's starting to get exciting now. At least there's some positive news on signings - the newsnow site has had little substance for a while - same as the offish. Plans are to arrive in London around lunchtime on the 13th, find a decent place in the bush for a Pre natch beer. Any suggestions? Can't remember the pub near the tube that we went in last time, it was ok, but quiet
I live in the North of England and am trying to get to the first 2 away matches at Everton and Wigan (Nephew supports Everton) shouldnt have a prolem getting into Wigans ground. Last Premiership game I saw was Everton v Man Utd about three years ago.
Thanks goldcoast, I wlll. How long you been in Aus? 15 years for me - left UK just before relegation. Perhaps I'll move back now.
I'm in Brighton, you? I saw your username and thought you might be Dave L from Sandy -another QPR fan in Melbourne. We catch up in town for a beer regularly at the Turf where one of the bar staff is also a supporter. Surprisingly there are a few of us around
My ticket hunt starts tonight (Australian time about 6pm) - am still unsure if I can get away end tix for everton. I have bought tix online on previous visits so I'm registered but not sure how that works now. Only away game I've seen in years was the Bristol City 1-1 when Dowie was manager and Ledesma got sent off. Also notable for Pat A creating a rut on the touchline with his vigorous warm up - he didn't get on I may post to you again if I need help getting 2 tix for Goodison
Now that's good to know! I'm originally Dave M from Chelmsford, however when most people ask who I support 'in the Prem'!, they get very confused when I mention our glorious name!! Saying that though the lad in our local coffee shop recognised my Guinness shirt I'm in Thornbury on the 112 tram, I'll have to suss this Turf place out. Nice to know there's a few of us floating about.
