    Evening all!

I listened to an interesting podcast where the hypothesis was that Ashley doesn't care if we get relegated because it'll make a sale easier.

Rationale being there are fewer checks and balances in the Championship. This could be of interest to PIF who would likely pay less for the investment.

Has anyone got any info on a) how much value would likely be wiped off the club if we got relegated and b) how much we think Ashley could get for Almiron, ASM, Wilson, Dubravka and a few others?

Does B = A? If so, seems to work oit well for Ashley.

It's a gamble for PIF as there is no guarantee a team comes back up but I wonder if they'd be tempted with a lower cost.

The thought of Joelinton and Gayle leading the line, and Murphy and the Longstaffs behind doesn't fill me with great confidence mind.

    What does everyone think?

If this is the case then Mike Ashley must have had reassurances that the consortium will buy and have agreed a relegated price?

Almiron ASM and Wilson probably £25m each, Dubravka £15m

It’s the only thing that might make sense. But nothing Ashley does ever makes sense, so I think we’re just utterly ****er for years until we hit absolute rock bottom.

Disagree, he'd be in demand. He's better than lots of teams 1st choice keepers

Disagree further. Not in the PL he's not. Again just my opinion.

Only palace or Southampton would from your list. However considering current financial circumstances I don't believe neither would spend £15m on a goal keeper

I agree, in my opinion he's not even a good goalkeeper let alone a great one.

Woodman should start after relegation. Be better off selling both GK's.

No where near good enough with the ball at his feet for a big move. Good shot stopping keeper though.

To be fair most keepers are good shot stoppers, in the modern game that's not enough to class them as good goalkeepers. I personally think Dubs is lacking in most other areas.

I agree. The lad for San Marino last night seems like a good shot stopper after last night - can't get a game for Cesena. No, me neither.

Brighton scored two goals from 25 yards. Neither are going to be goal of the season contenders.
