Man Utd have no midfield and can't keep a clean sheet, but a few bits of skill from RVP and everyone was creaming themselves to declare themselves the only pundit in the world that didn't write them off for the title too soon <doh>

In a **** year where Chelsea, Arsenal & City stunk the place out. You are in decline, live with it. <ok>

True. But isn't this what pundits have been saying the whole of last season? If united can indeed improve that midfield and that defence ( which is NOT that bad in my humble opinion) then they may have a chance this season?

For the last 20 years, at the start of every season the pundits have predicted United will at last be on the decline. The doubters and critics have got in Moyes more logic to their wishes.

I can see Moyes developing into a formidable manager.

You also ignore the fact we played heaps more games than anyone else ,and at seasons end, while Utd were watching us run ourselves ragged, you were sitting back with feet up, out of everything except PL.
Smart on your part, dumb on ours.
No one wins everything anymore. We need 2 teams, one for PL and CL, one for everything else.

Spot on. Moyes knows how to beat Swansea and it was a must win game so that was more or less a gimme. They showed enough signs of weakness throughout the match whereas Chelsea and City were excellent without really getting out of 1st gear.

Bit harsh on Swansea to suggest it's a gimme. They're probably the best team outside the top six at the moment and certainly a class above Newcastle and Hull.

True - but for all their pretty midfield play, their defending and finishing was woeful.
