Sunderland fans seem to think we are jealous of of Sulley Muntari and Stephane Sessegnon

Never seen Sessegnon play, personally but I can not imagine that he is better than Hatem and Muntari is not their player and from what I can remember gets a lot of red cards

For me, I think Tiote and Ben Arfa would be the better if you compared then to Sunderland's 2 new signings

Maybe it is just my opinion

Also, who would be bothered if we did'nt actually sign anyone before the window ends? I personally would not be bothered. We have done a lot of panic buying in recent years so if we cannot get Ireland or whoever else we are after, then so be it. We will be OK from now until the end of the season and buy a 3 or 4 good players in the summer

I think in the summer we could do with another striker, I would like Mutu, I no most others don't haha. A top centre back to partner Colo. I am not saying that Williamson or Taylor are bad, but Campbell will be off and if we can replace him with somebody like Wes Brown then I would be happy :) I am not sure if anybody agrees or not. I would also like to see a right winger, I would like to see Tom Cleverley. He is a class act and Man Utd have Nani, Valencia, Park who play in his position so he might be available

If our team next season was something like this then I would be happy:

    Steve Harper

Danny Simpson, Wes Brown, Fabricio Coloccini, Jose Enrique

Tom Cleverley, Cheik Tiote, Joey Barton, Hatem Ben Arfa

    Andy Carroll, Adrian Mutu

    SUBS
    Tim Krul
    Shola Ameobi
    Leon Best
    Jonas Gutierrez
    Kevin Nolan
    Steven Taylor
    Mike Williamson

We would also have Fraser Forster, Ryan Taylor, Shane Ferguson, Dan Gosling, Peter Lovenkrands, Danny Guthrie and few others. I would sell the likes of Smith, Campbell, Perch and loan Ranger, Kadar, Vuckic, LuaLua and so on. If we get Ireland then I would maybe play him behind Carroll and have like a kinda 5 in midfield which would be good as we could get plenty of goals from midfield

Sorry for mumbling, I am proper bored and you will notice I rabit on a canny bit!!! haha and me lass has gone home :( so nothing to play with ;) lol

Anyway, anybody agree with that? What do you think? Who would you sign?

Perfect opportunity for a certain someone to slip a "Ronald Vargas" in here?

Although, I agree I don't think we really need to add to the squad this transfer window in order to stay up. Not too sure on Ireland, would rather we went for a winger.

Ano ye, weird how we getin another midfielder lyk. But Ireland if he on his game is a great player. Was outstanding for Man City 2 years ago and is still only 24 so with a bit of good management then maybe we will see THE Stephen Ireland lol.

Yes, I think Shaun Wright Phillips would be good, would be better than Routledge. That type of business is what we need to do. Lyk sell Routledge, replace with Swp. Sell Xisco, replace with Mutu. Then we will be on the up even more than we already are

We have got a very exciting, young team. People are starting to pick up on this so it will be good when we tie the likes of Joey and Enrique down to new deals. Them 2 will be best signings we can make this window

Both Sessegnon and Muntari would have been excellent for us, since we're short a right winger and we need back up for Tiote. Current circumstances notwithstanding though, they're not exactly amazing signings.

'Back and raring to go' has to be a wum though, someone that wants Mutu and SWP <yikes>
The type of business we don't need to do, is buy 32yo players (mutu) or overhyped stars that will demand the world in wages (SWP)

    Defo not a wum lol

It just my opinion. Obviously would have to take wage drops, probably would'nt though

I would prefer Cleverley to Swp and if we could find a good, young striker to play off Carroll then I would like that

I like the look of Zavon Hines at West Ham. Seems like our kind of buy. Young, English with potential and is out of contract in the summer

He has also played alongside Big Andy for England u21s

Also, is Sessegnon a right winger? I thought he was the just behind the striker kind of player, that what I heard anyway

yeah i guessed you werent a wum, i was just takin the piss (due to your outrageous opinions)
I'm pretty sure Sessegnon's a right winger, i reckon both Kranjcar and Barnetta would be better options than him though (especially barnetta - can play DM as well apparently)

Also SWP is essentially the same player as Routledge, but with triple wages.

Ye I see wat u mean lol

Barnetta is an excellent player and would improve us a lot

Kranjcar would be superb also :) would improve our creativity!

I got feeling about us signing Reo Coker in the summer. He is a free agent and out of favour at Villa. Pardew had him at West Ham and he had the captains armband then. Tiote will be at African Nations next January so I can see us ging for another defensive midfielder. Watch this space! haha

Reo Coker would be a good signing, we need another DM, but we arent realistically going to get one better than Tiote. as long as reo coker is willing to play 2nd fiddle, he ticks all the boxes that's for sure
