2 None of those. The last match on a Xmas Day in England was at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool in 1965. It was about 10years later in Scotland.

11. 11. I used to work with a Charlton fan in the 1960s whose dad at that game. The goalkeeper was Sam Bartram who is often referred to as the best keeper who never played for England. He was still playing when the bloke I worked with was going in the early to mid 1950s. A figure esteemed by Charlton fans, has a statue of him outside the Valley, a nearby close named after him. Even 450 years after his retirement the club remembered him naming one of the bars and entertainment venues in the stadium after him to mark the anniversary. Just looked it up and there were over 50,000 there. Sam Bartram often told the story, apparently he was stood there thinking it was quiet and that Charlton must be containing Chelsea in their won half. A copper came out of the fog and was amazed to see him and informed him the game had been abandoned had been abandoned 15 minutes ago. 13. They didn't change their name to Arsenal. They changed it to Royal Arsenal. They changed it later to Woolwich Arsenal and only changed it to Arsenal, it might have been The Arsenal, when they moved to Highbury just before WW1.
I had a quick google about Christmas games and found a City reference. Most games were local derby's due to the lack of transport but the fixture setters still had a sense of humour. Another longish journey was made by Wrexham for a Division 3 (North) match at Hull City on Christmas Day 1936. But Wrexham forward Ambrose Brown need hardly have made the journey - he was sent off after only 20 seconds! http://www.footballsite.co.uk/Statistics/Articles/DidYouKnow16.htm
A lot of sites say 1959, when 2 games were played, one of them involving Blackpool at home, but 1965 was the last one. The end of the tradition in Scotland was partly brought about because in 1974 we got New Year's Day as a holiday for the first time (how would some of the young snowflakes have coped with that) so to make things equal Scotland got Boxing Day as a Bank Holiday.
