So Nielsen going, Ferdinand going....yes Hill is flavour of the month.....odd job men....... M'Bia, Onuaha, Haim can play there ...we need two. Harry would not let Anton go if he didn't have 1/2 people all but signed.....would he???????
John Sitton on Anton Ferdinand ''You could set a bunsen burner alight under his big toe and he still wouldn't sense danger."
Harry said he wont move players until we have replacements in, so I have to assume something is very close unless he thinks Haim is the replacement.
If Harry has a couple of replacements already in the bag then Anton leaving won't be a problem but if not he's going to have to do a stint as and when Nelsen goes. Lots of talk about midfielders and strikers coming to QPR but a bit quiet regarding defenders.
Are we sure this is right? Surely they have it wrong and the headline was meant to say Ferdinand is a turkey!
No major loss i dont think. Struggle to remember him having a good premiership standard game...Maybe Chelsea ? Never been good enough for the prem in my opinion !
Anton isn't the best.....but I don't think he's really as bad as some are making out. Obviously I agree that we need at least one and preferably two CBs in.
I have no real beef with Anton as a person, just with Anton as a player .............. a move to Turkey, couldn't have said it better. For all the grief you have brought upon the club and for your lack-lustre efforts which have been paramount over a period of time, a sailors farewell to you, Anton.
No, their is no place for racial comments ............. I just thought a person of older years may have acted a little different, a little wiser, He was not only representing himself, but the club and his team mates as well, that's all.
From West London Sport """" QPR reluctant to agree Ferdinand loan deal 23/01/2013 by David McIntyre QPR have received an approach from Turkish club Bursaspor for Anton Ferdinand but are reluctant to let him leave until they bring in at least one centre-back. Bursaspor are looking to take Ferdinand, who is out of favour at Loftus Road, on loan for the rest of the season. But Rangers want to add to their defensive options before parting with the 27-year-old, particularly as Ryan Nelsen will soon be leaving the club to take over as Toronto boss. Ferdinand, signed in August 2011, has made 44 league appearances for QPR since his arrival from Sunderland. """"" Sounds very wise. Even more important to our survival chances that the same applies to Nelsen.
With Nelsen and Anton going Arry must have something sorted already. The one thing Arry is not is stupid in getting players in.
Don't sidetrack the thread with that ****. Fact is he ain't good enough & is being kept out of the side by Clint Hill our Championship left back!
We can all just speculate here however I thought it was reported that Anton wanted the captains armband at one point and so I can only guess that the penny has dropped that he is not going to be first choice in turn again guessing that someone else is coming. It must be a clear sign and therefore the player himself has given his agent to circulate his portfolio and he therefore gets interest from a Turkey ... it's a theory that he may of thought time to move away and get money in a lower standard? In his position with maybe new signings coming in and the manager on record as saying that we need a centre half as a 35 year old player is retiring must spell it out good and clear that at best Anton will be cover and that the management do not see him at ever being first choice ... a bit of a muddle by me but even Anton must be able to sense this all
I know, you don't want that happening because then people watching on the telly report it to the police who then rely on unbroadcast footage to show anything was wrong.
