I see Sky are reporting it, great news if true.

Good news but credit to the bloke for being a tryer and not a 'shirker' to use Derry's word. He just was not very good.

Good news. Important to get rid of players that don't figure in our plans. Just not good enough. Mentality not strong enough.

Fantastic news....never the same after the Terry incident.
Anton was of limited ability before the Terry incident.....afterwards...he was limited and distracted.

I blame that incident for a lot of what happened...too many people thinking of other things rather than football

The outlook for the weekend just got a whole lot better, Richard Allen has confirmed that the might rrrrs are sending an under 14 team to play in a mini tournament here in Copenhagen from Aug 23rd which includes a local team I help train and I'm sorry (because I sound truly bitter and twisted), this excuse for a proffesional footballer is no longer on our books!! Hooray, Hooray!!!!
Will keep you updated on the Born 2000 Tournament we're holding here.

    Great news

No real problem with the lad other than he was just a mule.
The clearout is nearly finished. I’m finding it very difficult to accept Joey back but will bite my lip if he produces on the pitch. IMO, we now need a young CB, a fast winger, a DM and another forward.

Surely the DM was sarcastic? Faurlin, Barton, Jenas, Henry, Granero, Mbia, Derry (when returned from 1 month loan) and Diakite are all DM's no? We need an attacking midfielder if anything

It is interesting to contrast the respective fortunes of Messrs Ferdinand, Cisse and Faurlin, all of whom were loaned out last January and all of whom (presumably) then had an opportunity to make a case for a return to the Rs squad for this campaign. Cisse confirmed what everybody already knew, which was that his attitude clearly sucked as much as his dress sense and was cleared off pronto. Ferdinand came back from Turkey claiming he was ready to fight for the cause if that was what was required. It wasn't required. I claimed at the time that the biggest help he could give the Rs this season was to say with Scabs'n'sores. Seems Mr Redknapp saw it prettu much that way too.

The signs are that Faurlin has convinced. Long may that be the case.

Alas I wasn’t being sarcastic at all. The fact that we have made a bid for Parker would indicate to me that the vast majority of the players you listed won’t be with us for too much longer.
I can’t see Derry coming back, Diakite will be gone pretty soon and its far from certain that any of Faurlin, Granero and Barton will be with us when the window closes.
If M’Bia is staying then I hope he moves back to CB, as he showed us all last year that while he can run fast in straight lines, he offers very little else.

On the Offish we currently have a squad of 27 players. This includes Derry, Granero, Cesar, Barton, Luke Young, Mbia, Diakite, some or all of whom will go. Perhaps Traore too.

So, as of now a squad of 20 players for 46 league games plus cups. Its going to be a busy 3 weeks.
