According to Warnock... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/oct/30/neil-warnock-anton-ferdinand-qpr?CMP=twt_gu
He was very highly rated when he was at West Ham so there's that 'someone with a point to prove' mentality that could benefit us and him...
His been a class act for us so far, one of our best players this season and when consider we have a - 9 GD it's pretty amazing. Way too early for England calls yet.
all I can say is that he has been a step up from what we currently have, no disrespect intended to the other defenders but he has set a bench mark. Hopefully his form will only improve and the other defenders wil watch, learn and improve.
Given his lack of match fitness and the quality of the opposition thought Gabbidon did well yesterday. Young well out of position for the first goal, second goal a bit of luck for VDV, 3rd goal genius, no complaints. We took a lot of pressure down the middle, I thought Traore/Wright held the left well, Young/Barton struggled first half on the right, but who wouldn't against Bale on form? Am I right in thinking no bookings in the match? And no refereeing controversies? Am I in a parallel universe?
Young was only out of position because far to big a gap had developed between Ferdinand and Gabs, not really Youngs fault. But Ferdinand is starting to look strong, determined and most of all he reads the game well. All positives for the future. Now who to stick next to him in January???
