The incident occurred on the road between Rize and Trabzon, the assailant is reported to have shot the driver while the bus was travelling at high speed. Fenerbahçe board member Mehmet Uslu revealed that the driver was rushed to hospital after the shooting and is currently in intensive care. “We were travelling across the viaduct when the incident occurred, the driver was shot and we are lucky not to have had a serious crash that would have destroyed the bus,” Uslu said speaking on FenerbahçeTV.
