I think it's quite clear that he has no buyout clause (or at least one significantly higher than £22m) considering nobody came in for him.

Do you think he's leaving in the summer comewhatmay or would champions league football persuade him to play should we finish 4th?

He'll be off in the summer. If it's to Chelsea then they will give you a good deal to also take Baines. <ok>

Don't worry your head pet, as Baines is going nowhere.

What are you going to do when the buck toothed racist, joins Pep at Bayern?

I'm afraid he does have a buyout clause, but it can only be triggered in the summer & only by a CL side. I've been told it's £27M.

I reckon he'll leave in the summer if you don't reach the CL, but in a Ronaldo style. In other words the club will get to negotiate a big fee with a CL club and take the lead in announcing the transfer etc, rather than a Torres esque "I'm going to this club so sort it out".

Could also end up being a Rooney esque situation in that you lose one of your best players but the cash is invested wisely enough to push you higher up the table next year. What with Spurs and Arsenal hardly convincing at the moment, and Rafa doing his best to destroy Chelsea, 4th place could still be well up for grabs next year.

If he goes he goes we'll get a good fee for him...I'll wait and believe It when I see though as he's been heavilly linked with Chelsea for how long? His old man was supposedly bleating about It a few year ago even before he signed his most recent contract...We lost Rooney and Improved with the money and no doubt If he goes we will do the same...

You've got to love sky's spin on things, they've just took snippets from the link I posted for the daily mail which is more positive than negative, And they've missed out where he says there is no buy out clause.

Please start playing him in his position Moyes.

I'd like to see this for the majority of the remaining season
