Spurs have confirmed that Sevilla's captain, Europa League winner and La Liga Team of the Year member Federico Fazio has joined the club.

Not someone that I'm massively familiar with, but he's well rated, his old club seem to be pissed about the fee and it seems like a Pochettino target, so that's all good.

And yet another catch for our excellent Mr Baldini.

Nice to hear that he's still impressing you, SC. <ok>
He's been operating with a far lower media presence this summer, which is almost certainly a good thing.

"Sinking the floating rib" That's a nice bit of boxing technique from Fazio. Nice little uppercut/hook that will really hurt.

Really makes me like him, because ever since that rat Torres did something similar, I've realized that someone grabbing my face would make me absolutely furious. Costa got some of what he deserved.

Your rating of Baldini is looking well judged.

I would trust Fazio is worth the money, but I wonder who will make way, Vertonghen or Dier? I have the feeling it will be Dier, when I would rather it be Vertonghen.

  8. Kaboul might make way?

Spurs keep getting bigger. Fazio 6'5", Ade, Chadli, Kaboul and maybe Capoue 6'3", Bentaleb and Dyer, maybe, 6'2".

Fazio is in place of kaboul imo...but the truth us we need 2 very good players for each position if we are to compete in the fight fir tge top four and the cups and last year this poition was a constant problem...so imo we need at least 5...so with vertongen, dier, fazio and kaboul we have v good competition for places...might make vertongen up his levels on last year

Bet it's not a patch on Sandro's roundhouse kick.

Well our defence didn't show much fight last season so it's good to see we've got at least one defender with that now! <laugh>

No idea if he's any good. I've surely seen him play a few times but can't really recall anything about him.

We've paid twice as much for him as we paid for Dier, so lets hope he's twice as good. If he scores 2 on his debut it'd certainly be a good start.

    Welcome Fede!

I too don't know much about him but his write up seems promising. Adding quality to the squad is only a good thing.

After next week we can run the book on which of the summer signings will score the winner
in this seasons' NLDs (and become instant legends) .
