After a bravely fought match by Tsonga, managing to take the 2nd set in a tiebreak Federer takes the title. Love him or loathe him Federer has to be the greatest player of his era and at least since Sampras, at age 30 now he is still a force to be reconed with and far from finished. Every time I think he has passed his best he comes back to prove me wrong. Congratulations Roger. So, onto 2012 now and the Australian Open, with Tsonga now a real challenger and IMO on a par with Andy Murray, can Federer and Nadal be overtaken for the next slam title. How much longer can Federer and Nadal hang on to the top of their game? Is it now time for a new era? Most important of all - will Andy Murray bottle it again???
