Out of Jack Cork, Steve De Ridder, Danny Fox and Jos Hooiveld, who is your favourite? My vote goes to De Ridder, his twitter suggests him to be a genuinely nice guy and eager to do well. Also he needs a bit of help as I would have thought Cork will get the majority. Disappointed we didn't get a striker in, if Connolly stays fit we should be fine but if he's injured we have little championship experience up top. However fully confident of Barnard and Lambert's ability. When we have little injury concerns we have a vastly talented squad.
Very easy decision. Cork was an absolute steal. It was interesting to hear my brothers comments after the Leicester game. Normally they are pretty disparaging when it comes to the Saints but they said we deserved to win and we ripped them to bits in midfield. One of them could not understand why we took Guly off because he was controlling the game. They think we will definitely be top six if we play like that every week. I think we had a pretty good midfield before Cork joined but I'm sure we now have the strongest in the league.
Not only has the signing of Cork been great for us but it seems to have lifted the others around him. I wasn't particularly sure about Hammond even in Div1 but his performances this season have been excellent so far. And Lallana has been breathtaking at times. I put a lot of this down to Cork who rarely loses possession or makes a bad pass. Most of our play comes through Cork, an absolute bargain. I vote for De Ridder.
Unsurprisingly Cork is walking it. This is why I thought to give De Ridder a little nudge in the right direction! Would love to see Steve get a run out and good playing time in the team. Think he has bags of potential and could be real quality. However with the team playing as great as we are at the minute, its hard to drop anyone. Cork has to be the buy of the summer in our league? English, young, cheap, quality. We all know english talent comes at a cost yet Cork was under a million and wanted by so many. Well done NA and The Don.
Has to be JC for me as well. Although the best recent signing is Adam Lallana's new contract. Or possibly Arsene's on that massive cheque.
It's hard to look past Cork. Not only have we seen a lot more of him then the rest, but he is a class act (and a bargain). Barely seen Fox yet, and not in his normal position. De Ridder has looked good from the little we have seen and obviously Jos has only just got on the bus. Will be better to judge this one after a couple of months when we have seen them all play a bit more....saying that I still think it will be Cork!
Cork, glues it all together in the middle, great signing. I think there could be a lot to come from De Ridder when he adjusts and gets a run, looks a talent.
Voted for Cork but was tempted with The Knight!! Come the end of the season De Ridder could be vying for 1st place though, at some point I hope he comes in and makes that right-mid spot his own! Whilst things are working with starting Ging Gang out there we should stick to the winning formula but I see De Ridder as a replacement for Oxo eventually, once acclimatised etc.
