Same rules apply, you are stuck on Deadman's Island with only and old TV that doesn't work apart from a dvd player. Up to 5 but you can have less if you choose. Here's Mine: The Dark Knight (Absolutely brilliant film IMO, love Heath Ledger's acting as The Joker) The Lion King (For the inner kid in me) Hot Fuzz (I just love it) Shawshank Redemption (Unbelievably brilliant movie) Rocky IV (I'm a sucker to the Rocky films and this is probably my favourite one) Well get compiling
No particular order, I've chosen five films but this could change any day of the week dependent upon my mood and getting my mind to remember them... Terminator 2: Judgement Day. - This film brought about in 1991 a lot of computer generated affects that had never been seen before and were to shape future movies. Although originally created in the 70's. George Lucas and his creation of ILM (I will let you do the research). Obviously Sky in reality was found around the same time as the fictional Skynet, over 20 years later we have Prism. I suppose the same connection in how mobile flip top phones and their resemblance with Star Trek, clever marketing ploys. Spaghetti Western - Clint Eastwood - not sure which one but probably any of them. Man of few words, man with no name, you just got to love it. The Firm - Tom Cruise - destination mainly around Memphis and filmed in locations I am familiar with, including the Peabody Hotel. Also interests in the legal aspects of it for other reasons. Scary movie - no not the scary movies trilogy but something that messes with your mind. Trying to think of one...not Evil Dead or Saw because they are just well OTT and they do not really mess with the mind. Something a bit sinister that messes with the dark side of your mind. Hannibel Lecture or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (ok that's six but what the heck) - nothing can beat the mind games between Hannibel and Clarice. Then of course in to our own resemblance of MadDog...Jack Nicholson.

OTiC 1963 - Billy Liar (Tom Courtney )....watched it three times in a week at the Plaza in Duncan Road 1972 - The Evil Roy Slade ( John Astin of Addams Family fame)I'm a sucker for a good spoof Western 1978 - Magic ( Anthony Hopkins' 'vent' film). Deep is dark, dark is deep 1979 - Life of Brian (it's........) Sell out showing to Kent Uni crowd in the Canterbury cinema. Fantastic atmosphere! 2004 -Shaun of the Dead (Simon Pegg ) 'A love story with zombies' Well, that's what it says on the jacket. !979 - Life of Brian {Monty Python boys) Saw this in the Canterbury cinema A sell out to Kent Uni crowd
I am a big horror fan, but it has to be a proper horror film, modern day "torture porn" films like Hostel and films like Paranormal Activity where they just make you jump simply don't count. I am a big fan Gullermo Del Toro's work, Kronos being a personal favourite, Blair Witch Project, The Descent, Troll Hunter and the original Evil Dead also ranking high
Number 1 easy - Goodfellas, the other 4 tough call: The Godfather Part 1 Star Wars (Any from A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi) Dumb & Dumber (Odd choice but makes me laugh from start to finish every time I watch it!!!) Life Of Brian - Monty Python Classic Number 1 top film is easy (Goodfellas) but to narrow down top 5 is harder than I thought. The other 4 on the list would change if asked again at a later date.
I thought that the only film ever made was The Great Escape - judging by the number of times it's been shown on TV - more repeats than you get on Dave !
Probably give away my age with some of my picks 1) The Long Good Friday - Bob Hoskins. Probably my all-time favorite movie 2) The Italian Job - the original Michael Caine one. Brilliant stunts with them mini's. 3) Either Life of Brian or The Meaning of Life - classic Python humour for if I'm feeling low 4) Any one of the 3 original Star Wars movies - the latest 3 were not in the same class imho 5) Quantum of Solace - I like Daniel Craig as Bond. And this is his best I reckon Other worthy mentions to - Get Carter (Michael Caine fan anyone?), Grown Ups (Adam Sandler), Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The 633 Squadron (fave war movie as a kid. I thought all movies were war movies then)
Keefy, yes, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Remember people coming out in tears afterwards. A near religious experience! 'Get Carter' one of Caine's best movies in my opinion. If you are a fan of his, watch 'Last Orders' (all famous english actors in supporting cast). It has lots of scenes shot in Kent that you will recognize.

Top films mentioned above. With the football season closed down for the summer, what was the LAST film that you saw? Maybe we can get talking about some newer releases! I'll kick things off: Ben Affleck's award winning ARGO - If it wasn't based on true events, I could only have described this plot as Hollywood madness! Thoroughly enjoyed it; a stunning debut performance for Affleck both On and Off screen.
The last film I watched was The Descent (2005)...http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0435625/ - I downloaded it from sky movies - there is a trailer included within the link 02.03 mins, although I cannot pick up the link directly, it is just down on the left under videos. Please note the trailer included in the above link is not suitable for watching in the presence of young children.
That one made my list!! Watched the last Die Hard film last night, A Good Day to Die Hard. Awful film, the action scenes were unbelievable and the one liners missed the mark by a mile, everything that made the first film so good was sadly missing
Oh yeah! lol - I just scrolled back up on your prompt. Although I thought the aliens spoiled it a bit. I think they could have still followed the same plot but it might have been better to have left it as the untold (no alien life), leaving it to the darker side of our imagination.
