Sorry lads nowt to do with football just like to point out I had a nice day in Durham yesterday participating in my joint second favourite pastime, drinking.

A swift pint in the fighting cocks, then onto the coach n 8 (a good 30 yds), up to the market tavern, then onto a half gallon at the swan & 3 cygnets.

A nosebag and pint in the court inn, back down to the half moon beer garden for 2 onto slug & lettuce followed by 2 pints of abbot ale in the bishops mill.

A magnificent impression of a border collie then ensued, or so I am told, of trying to find my way home. Incidentally home is sunderland which would explain the ruined trousers and scuffed knees.
Apparently a beer scooter eventually arrived to transport me home however, this part of the evening/night is gone from memory.
Remarkably i feel ok this morning.

Thats what woke me at 11.30, the sound of scuffed knees crawling past my house and a little voice saying never again, I promise, never again
