With the inordinate amount of fatties now in this country is it about time a tax was introduced on them? I know it could affect a few on here but they are a disgrace to humanity and take up too much space and air. We also have to pay for these fatties that are helicoptered out of the removed roofs of buildings and are a constant drain on the NHS.

I consider myself a fair minded and honest person (with not a hint of fattiness) and wish nothing but the best for one and all in life but sometimes harsh decisions have to be made for the good of mankind.

i think there should be a drunken disgrace tax

for all those idiots that get admitted to hospital or require treatment for getting too off their face. either that or just leave them on the floor to die/get mugged etc.

Sorry I didn't know you were a fattie Jen. Have you tried dieting? Or just not stuffing your face as much?

Please do explain to us how someone who is overweight takes up more air than someone who isn't?

I mean, are we running out of air? Is the Government planning on rationing it?

It won't be long before the chubbers start to demand that they should be allowed to go outside for a cake or have a designated cake zone within their place of work which they can visit ever 10 minutes. It worked for the smokers so why not the chunkies?

My fear for the fat tax is it will be the same as the tobacco, alcohol and fuel duty which everytime they are raised it is with an excuse that it is for our own good (stop smoking, stop drinking and stop using your car for the benefit of you and the environment etc).

The end result will be things that most people enjoy every now and again will be slapped with a hefty (excuse the pun) tax with some wishy washy headline to say it is being done to attempt to halt the expansion of our waistlines. Those who might drink Coke, have a Big Mac or a Greggs steak bake every now and then will be paying too much for it and the blurts who scoff the stuff all the time will carry on regardless.

The government don't give a flying feck how many fatties may or may not decide to slim down if the price of a Ginsters sausage roll goes through the roof, they just want more cash.

Next up the fatties will be classed as disabled and will then start to campaign for equal rights with other disabled people. Expect to see fat cnuts get blue badges, demand doors be widened to allow them access, bigger seats on public transport etc. You can bet your last pasty that they won't be competing in the Paralympics though, not unless they introduce competitive eating as a sport. As soon as they label it a disability instead of an eating disorder you watch the claims for discrimination come flooding in.

And all because the lady loves milk tray. And galaxy, toblerone, terry's chocolate orange...........!!

I'm with ER, we should render their fat for fuel and use their excess skin for sails.

smoking and drinking are different to eating though. we need food to live so i dont know if they would ever be able to put any sort of legislation on it.

If your only allowed 23kg of luggage into a plane without charges, then peopel over a certain weight (say 17 stone) should have to pay extra.

If you can't fit comfortably into you're seat (plane, bus or train) you should pay extra...

If you weigh avove a certian weight, and on medical advice, are told to lose a certain percentage - say within a year - and you don't, medical costs shoudl apply to conditiosn/treatmenst caused by excessive weight.

I live in London and my company have a cycle to work scheme to try and make them look green, basically you buy an expensive bike and the company pays for it meanwhile they deduct money each month until it`s paid back.
I have tried cycling in central London and i would live much longer stuffing my fat face with KFC and smoking 20 a day than getting dressed up in lycra and try to avoid being run over by mental angry ****s in their little metal bubbles on wheels...
I honestly don`t know how these fat ****s can afford so much junk food on DSS though, someone must be enabling them <ok>
