Thanks for 5 years with us, two promotions, a Cup Final, three Wembley visits- coinciding with your years at City. Sincere apologies from the fans for the shabby and crass way you were informed about your exit today. I'm sure you know by now that this is the new Hull City way under the current owners, it's nothing personal. Good luck with getting fixed up with a new club, and thanks again for the great times.
Good lad, good journeyman player who literally threw everything into the games he played. Any other surname and he'd have a few songs. I get its cool to start being snarky and bitching about the owners, but just bear in mind when asked directly a few days ago, he responded to the effect he wasn't staying and he was leaving. What he's done is troll a large group of the gullible.
I always liked him really. I honestly think he was playing like a man possessed in the FA cup final and him going off injured was a turning point.....
Trust you to stick up for the owners when a player is released after five years and is informed via Twitter. His tweet was only a joke anyway, quite a funny one as it goes. We all knew he was gone, but there's a right way to do these things and this wasn't it.
He's clearly been tret abysmally, however, my reservations about keeping him would be: 1. His wage: I imagine he was on a decent wedge 2. His fitness - been injured on and off for ages. He should have been given a 1,000 thank yous upon release and he was a good player for us, but despite our current need, for the reasons above, I would not disagree with releasing him.
He has probably known for several months given that no extension was triggered. I imagine his tweet was his droll way of saying 'Thanks for the confirmation, given the total absence of any communication about it from anyone at the club'. Hmmmm... are we seeing a pattern developing here? I wonder....
that's spot on and that's why it's disgraceful, like you said he knew his contract was up at the seasons end but to have no communication and confirmation is just poor and dismal really but it's them, not even surprised
Aye. He already knew and in addition his agent was informed. Trust you to fall for an obvious troll. Fair play to him he'll be pissing himself laughing at the reactions.
