BFB, When I was there (Belgrade) I always made sure they knew the difference between English & Welsh, have to say the women in Belgrade are stunning but not a patch on some of the Hungarian women I have had the pleasure to meet. So I recommend Budapest as weapons are not as common place :)
Prague is a great city but (IMO) getting ruined by the stag and hen nights, I'm saving up for a trip to Bratislava for my next city visit.

Been to Budapest Taff. A lovely city apart from the graffiti. So many different transport systems and all of them chaotic.

You can see how it was one of Europe's most attractive cities before the commies took over.

Not expensive for food and drink either.

Taff, your comment about racism in Eastern Europe is absolutley true but it is not limited to a few. it is rife. Also, our Serbian 'friends' are total tw*ts when it comes to being the poor down-trodden underdogs. I have even ben told '...it is not fair about how Sebrinica is reported.....there weren't 12,000 killed, it was ONLY 2,000....' Goog God! Even one is too many. But that is the mentality. 35% of the population are totally nationalistic. Luckily they will never come to power ecasue all the rest will have nothing to do with them......but it is this lot that go to football matchs in the main.

Should add that Hungary/Budapest has its right wing nutters as well. We did a coach tour to get a quick overview of the city. We should have stopped at Hero's Square - obvious monument to the country's historic warriors. However, the guide thought it wise not to stop there and have a wander around as there was a heavy right wing rally in place and we had a black couple from London on the bus with us. Probably a wise decision seeing some of the tatted up, skin headed, DM booted thugs we drove by.

Walked to the place the next day, no sign of the thugs then and had a very pleasant day.
