If 'Arry would like to know how to set a team up against a top club away from home, tell him to give Nigel a call... I imagine he'll politely tell him to p*ss off, but it's worth a go... You've got nothing to lose Could be a long ol' season for you... While I'm here, and following a conversation the other day... Both teams starting 11's this weekend... 01 Green - 34 06 Hill - 35 14 Isla - 26 04 Caulker - 22 05 Ferdinand - 35 23 Hoilett - 24 19 Kranjcar - 30 30 Sandro - 25 10 Fer - 24 09 Austin - 25 07 Phillips - 23 Average age = 27.5 12 Hamer - 26 18 Moore - 21 05 Morgan - 30 02 de Laet - 25 03 Konchesky - 33 26 Mahrez - 23 07 Hammond - 31 15 Schlupp - 21 10 King - 25 23 Ulloa - 28 35 Nugent - 29 Average age = 26.5 Have a good day
Without having a dig at QPR here but just to raise a general point, they've lost 4-0 twice now I think and have a quite negative goal difference already after 4 games. Is anyone pleasantly surprised we have played 3 of last years top 5 (albeit two at home) and as well as our impressive points total we only have a -1 gd? Do we think we can avoid these kind of thumpings generally and if so why do we thin this is. What I think is significant has been the fighting attitude of our players in both home games so far. When going behind to Everton and Arsenal we could have caved but in both games we equalized within 2 minutes and I think it is this that might help us
With intentionally having a dig at QPR... This defence is arguably the worst in the league, on paper, and on grass Green Isla -- Caulker -- Ferdinand -- Hill
If they somehow aren't already relegated by the final day we could have the pleasure of relegating them 4 leagues
I think it'll be the home form of both clubs that will determine wether we both stay up. I expect our away from to improve with the great Glen Hoddle now coaching (it cant be much worse). You've made a very solid start to the season, and have come from behind both times in your games - so I think you'll do all right against united next week and get at least a point.
What is Hoddle actually getting paid to do other than sit and grind down a pack of pencils every game? On s serious note, it has been a terrific start from our boys and to get our first 3 points (away from home!) is massive. Confidence is high and we have such great competition for places. and dont even get me started on CAMBIASSO!!!!!! oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hehe
His teams in the past always kept the ball well - if he can get us to do that especially away from home, it'll be a great improvement. I cant see any sign of that so far unfortunately
Calm down everyone there´s along season ahead., it could happen to us next week. They´ll be alot of ups & downs this season, just chillax
Absolutely 1884, but come now, we all know that if the roles were reversed and it had beenus that had taken a couple of spankings (with woeful perfomances to boot) they would be all over us like a rash. Its just friendly banter just ask Queeny he is a good lad. Grif has his moments too! We are all aware that we are going to have many lows this season, all the more reason to enjoy it as and when we can. All good fun and all that so "chillax" (?) and enjoy!
As we showed in the first half against Stoke, we're not immune to bad performances. Play like that against one of the big five, and it will be over at halftime like it was for poor old QPR. Beginning to feel for them a bit already - the conference awaits, it would appear.
