I'm doing the Texaco Fantasy Championship team. I've got Fryatt, Koren and Rosenior. I won't have any Millwall or Leeds players on principle so who else do you think I should have? I can't have any more City players. I'm playing a 4-4-2 formation. I think I need defenders who will score but whose teams won't let goals in. What about reative midefielders? Please don't include Jimmy! He is not getting a place in my team, even if NP disagrees!

id take out fryatt, much better value for money in there, possibly pitman? scores more than maynard. fryatts a great player but wont be the top goalscorer in my opinion.

kevin nolan if you can afford it, he'll score a bucketload. forest usually have a good defense, lee camps quality

Clever boy and a nice try. Lol. Ritchie Wellens @ Leicester is a class midfield player but i am not sure that he will score alot of goals.

    Try this: http://fantasy.football-league.co.uk/

I don't know if it will work for you. I did it last year so I got an invitation this year.

I'd already put Camp in but I had gorgotten that Nolan was at WHU. Don't know if I can afford him as I've spent up.

How much action do we think Cairney will be getting as he's a really cheap buy, think its worth the punt?

think ive got a pretty good team here, 3 from city too :)

    camp
    rosenior, chester, gunter, robinson
    mcgugan, eagles, nolan, brady
    sharp, makail-smith

not sure about makail-smith though.. he could flop a bit in the championship, a bit like mclean :) might be a safer bet to get pitman or stead

A bit of advice, try to avoid using two defenders from one team e.g Rosenior and Chester, if we get battered by 3/4/5 goals thats double points lost.

Eagles is on his way to Bolton isn't he?

And like you said, someone up front who has guarenteed goals in this leage over the last few years.

    Apart from that, great team!

Trick with fantasy football is to think about how points are awarded. There's no point having an amazing midfielder who works his socks off but doesn't score or assist, and there's little point in having defenders who play for teams who concede a lot. For thr 4 defenders you want 4 attacking full backs who play for top defensive sides. If it was PL you'd want your Man U and Chelsea players at the back.

Further up get anyone who scores and assists a lot, and make all your 'gamble' sort of players from smaller clubs further up the pitch because in most rules they can't lose you points.

    Camp
    Rosie, Pantsil, Fox, Harte
    Phillips, Cairney, Nolan, Brady
    Long, Maynard

Thats it for me, Although wouldn't be so surprised if Long was to move on by the season start.

    Fielding
    Rosenior, Halford, Gunter, Chester
    Nolan, Ambrose, Coppinger, Brady
    Chopra, Long

If that strike force stay together i should be banging the points in, Nolan and Ambrose score ridiculous amounts, Brady looks a star in the making. Coppinger got a decent amount last year. All of my defenders are attacking ones, look how many goals Chester scored for Carlisle. Fielding England U21 must be guranteed to start every game at Derby and with them having a new look defence i fancy them being fairly tight. Fielding and Chester are the only ones i may consider changing.

All guess work. Anyone who professes x player will top assists or y player will be top scorer is a muppet.

Its a game of chance at the start, reacting after the season starts is where you get to be a winner

    I'm in

But I don't like that you can see the other teams line-ups unlike the prem one when you have to wait until the gameweek is locked.
