Genuine question chaps. Xbox one or PS4?
Am gonna upgrade my 360 and wold like an honest appraisal.

 

I would ..its not that much more expensive for the hardware (build your own, it's kinda like putting lego together ..hard to feck up really ..it IS more expensive but not by much and it will handle stuff 100 times better than a console ) easy to upgrade individual components as needed/finances allow etc

Plus ..you save loads on the games (Gog or steam sales)..especially if you don't buy when first released etc ..and mods!!! ..All those delicious mods

Iam still playing games from 10 plus years ago that have a community updating them

PS4 has graphic superiority that is marginal, but the XO is going backwards compatible, so you can keep your 360 games.

I've had mine since launch, yet to see a PS4 title that has made me regret not buying the PS4.

Never understood that modding stuff, last time I had a PC for gaming I was playing Carmageddon and it was hours of fun, but never really got going from there.

Seen some of the Skyrim mods online, but I'm not really into online gaming aside from Fifa, I prefer my games factory spec, like my cars.

 

I don't online game at all really ..It's all about making the single person experience as good (and just how I like it visuals/difficulty/content etc).as possible ..You only need to be online to download the mods etc

Secondary advantage of a pc is ..All the stuff you can do beyond games ie it's a 'proper' computer that plays games ...rather than .. a console that 'just' plays games ..if you get me

Have a mate who builds them but he pissed off abroad to live before I got chance to have one built. Defo swaying towards the self build like.

 

I dunno mate, the whole PC thing that I never liked was sat at a desk with a keyboard and a monitor, I guess it's evolved a lot lately... that and the fact that they had to wait about 2 years for GTA5 after consoles initially got it!

I don't get enough time nowadays to play anyhow, the Mrs is always moaning at me to do something around the house, so committing big money to a gaming PC wouldn't make sense right now.

 

With modding any issue you have with a game you can tinker with and solve or change so it doesn't get on your nerves. Sounds bliss to me.

Xbox and ps controllers work on pc ...so sit on the sofa etc

My ONLY console regret is rockstar NEVER rekeased red dead redemption on pc .but given how each console limits it's users choice whike pc's tend to have both plus tons of indie games ...small price to pay

I'm a bit iffy, on the one had, I want the free DL code for Fallout 3 but on the other hand, I'd bet my last quid I won't get it delivered on launch day and I'll be pissed off.
