The fair play scenario may play havoc with quite a few teams, with wages being linked and the loss aspect per season being all part of the porridge. Managers will have less to play with, and will this result in even higher turn overs like the Sean O driscoll debacle....OWNERS like the ones beginning to take over the english football teams with oil gained monies...will they become less attracted? the top 6-8 teams in the prem may only be able to afford 6 or so super earners. there must be over 100 currently earning more than £5m a year?..so the possibility/probability of a serious curtailment of the general wage fund will mean a lot of pretentious big earners will need to fight and earn their keep elsewhere...lower placed teams players even spilling into the Championship????? I suspect there are already a number of dodge's and loopholes PEOPLE HAVE ENGINEERED...its a pity there is not a list of every single players earnings available. I have not really looked into Fair play as until it becomes legally effective there can be a lot of changes and misunderstandings............anyone got an opinion? HAPPY NEW YEAR
Stadium sponsorship is the current "dodge", stick £25m a year on your turnover with no issues, e.g. Arsenal as under "On 23 November 2012, Arsenal and Emirates officially announced a new deal worth £150 million at the Emirates Stadium. The partnership keeps Emirates as the official match and training shirt sponsor for another 5 years. The deal also grants Emirates the Ashburton Grove stadium naming rights until 2028" So, £30m a year extra....
Well prem that is something a "bit positive" means that Ashton gate might one day called "scrumpies" lol with a sponsorship of £*m for x years HAPPY NEW YEAR
