I know someone here will fill in the blanks, way back in 1974 or 75 slumberland brought thousands to hull, they never got into bunkers hill but every where else was theirs. Before the away game a rumour went round town that because some of our's had been badly done over ( mugged ) that every hardcase from hull would be going to sunderland. There did seem to be a lot up for but the game was snowed off, and the big exitement wittered away. When the game was played there were no more than the usual 100 or so, and they certainly did'nt stroll round their town centre wearing colours.

Burnley are as game as anyone you're likely to come across.

Anyone who says different is a camera wielding clueless ****.

Only reason they weren't on Bunkers was the fence was up by then. Even when they were getting crap crowds in early 70s they brought a couple of thousand or more compared to the one busful and the supporters club one we used to take there.

They certainly used to stick together. No doubt Turf Moor will have been sanitised like everywhere else. There were complaints by Burnley fans about heavy handed stewarding and clamping down on people being over exuberant which resulted in quite a few bans.

    Many clubs do.

Shame they have turned into a tacky Tom Hark outfit now.

There's no science behind this whatsoever.
It may as well be a match-day "best meat pie" table.

Also funny how these supposedly well behaved, sporting Sunderland fans on the last figures published had 71 arrests compared to our 25 for the season and they have one of the highest number of banning orders.

That's from last season fella. This award is for this season. You do know the difference don't you? <doh>

This season's arrest figures won't be out for months.

I wonder how you get the role of assessor?

Looking at the criteria, it seems to be an award for the most bland fans. <laugh>

It's a league of shame and bottom is excellent. I guess it's aimed at deflecting away from Liverpool being given an award for what amounts to showing respect to the ref.

I thought they were trying to influence him by cheating when they surround the ref. It seems they must have been patting him on the back "hail fellow well met".

You are correct biut it's a generational thing. Burnely have had some success in their history, they're a proud club who are a famous name. Until the last 10 years we've, almost without exception, been ****ing ****e for a century.

It is an indisputable fact that you now see far more City shirts and far fewer other clubs shirts around Hull than you did in the 80's. Many of us, myself included, have told of being one of a handful in their entire school who supported City and we were openly mocked. That just wouldnt happen now. I'm guessing here but are kids kickabouts / practice matches not littered with youngsters in City shirts? So as long as this upward trend continues we'll be fine.

He's a Sunderland fan Castro, shouldn't you be treating him with a bit more respect?

Is how the home fans behave so different around the country ? Its surely going to be a better atmosphere at grounds which
finish towards the bottom of this table , rather than polite clapping and "fair play old bean" call across the stadium ????

Then ,our atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired and Sunderlands doesnt - i wonder how confused the assessors were ?
