Fabricio Coloccini - An example

  1. I think we all agree that Coloccini's first season here was quite poor. His second season wasn't great, but he did well enough to be part of the championship winning team.

However, this season, especially over the last couple of months, he has looked fantastic. Some of the challenges he's made at the last seconds, in our vital moments of need, have been absolutely phenomenal. So much that i think any of our other centre backs would have failed and the player would have been in to score, or they would have given away a penalty.

I think Coloccini is an example to any team that has what appeared to be a very promising player before he signed, but ends up having a poor start. He's an exmaple of how Foreign players can be brilliant in the premier league if given the time and opportunity.

I don't think he's worth the super high wages he's alleged to be on, but he's starting to look like that 10 million quid player we payed for.

We now have a crackin pair of centre backs, who are both good in defense, in the air, good tacklers, and both a significant part of our attacking threat. How great is it that we have a back four that all look like either scoring or creating a chance, and on a consistant basis?

I think Colo did very well in his second season. Especially in the 2nd half when he was with Williamson

  7. Yes because he was for ages, but he's been great this season. I still don't think Jonas is a good player though.

And again and again, i don't HATE Jonas.

Colo was good last season, and I remember you complaining about him this season on 606.. <doh>

  10. You know people complain about me being negitive, yet people seem to pick out little points and turn it into something negitive towards me instead of reading into the whole point of the article.

I agree with the aforementioned points, he really has come on leaps and bounds - though the same can be said about many of our current performers. Nolan when he first came was pretty poor (though no-one played well in our doomed season) and even jose wasnt fantastic when he first came (against portsmouth?!) I think the performances we are getting are a testament to Hughton for taking these players after relegation and giving them confidence to perform in the championship and right back to the prem where they haven't looked out of place.
