According to Cesc Fabregas he wants to stay at Arsenal.? Can he be true to his words
now that Barcelona made an offer to Arsenal.? Did he said that because he was:emoticon-0103-cool: scared
of Arsenal supporters or part of football politics.?
It is amatter of time before he becomes Barcelona player.

It was probably in part due to the fact he knows he wouldn't be a world beater with Barcelona. Talent goes there and gets sucked into the squad and suddenly they're not the best in the world anymore because they only get to play 15-20 times a season.

With the mids they've got, I wouldn't want to go there and be sidelined every 2 games.

It sounds a lot like the Gerrard/Chelsea situation but with the extra 'home' lure for Fabregas.

Is it only a matter of time before Guardiola become Arsenal manager?

Probably not this coming season but it is a future possibility. He has already made noises that the feels his time at Barcelona may be coming to a close and presently Arsenal appear to have the kind of style that he would feel more comfortable with. Reportedly, he has hailed Liverpool's Academy as being the best outside of Barcelona. Is that a suggestion that we may see him in charge at Anfield in 3 years time?

He's having one more season at Barca, which is why I hypothetically linked it to Fabregas staying. Maybe he know something.

Would Guardiola wait 3 years for a maybe on the Liverpool job? I can't see it, even if it was guaranteed for him by Kenny himself.

Fabregas is happy to stay at arsenal for the time being but he definitely would not say no to going to Barcelona. Barca however refuse to pay us what he is worth (£40-£60 million is what we are asking for) and so we are not selling to them. They however cannot take the fact that we haven't bent over for them and so keep on talking about him in the press in the hope that it will turn his head and press for a move. This will continue he eventually moves to Barca which will happen in the next few years or if we win a trophy then after that.

that could well be true, although not as good as Barca they have the same will to attack, he can complete the rest of hte puzzle that has so eluded Wenger since the invinpirescheatcibles

Its not like the Gerrard/Chelsea thing at all.
Steven Gerrard would walk into the Chelsea team. He's superior in every way to Fat Frank. His passing is better,His tackling is better,His goal return isn't as good because he isn't a ''one trick pony'' like Fat Frank.Lampard is one of the most one dimensional midfielders in Europe.Gerrard is an allrounder.Fabregas wouldn't get in the Barca side on a regular basis because Iniesta who is his type is far superior and so is Keita. He's 3rd in line. He's not a defensive midfielder like Busquets or ''El Jeficito' aka Mascherano so he wouldn't get in front of either of those.

He'll go back to Barca either this window, or the next summer transfer window, or the next summer transfer window after that...

You get the picture. He'll go back one day.

Keita has grown into the Barca system. He's come through the same way Xavi and Iniesta did.Okay I know you can take the player out of Barcelona, but you can't take Barcelona out of the player. However,Fabregas would have to spend time learning the Barca philosophy and thats where Keita has the edge.

Ah ok I see what you mean. You remember that Fabregas has spent far more time than Keita has at Barcelona though?

Fabregas grew up under the Rijkaard Barcelona.Keita has learnt the Pep Gaurdiola Barcelona. Both similar in style,However the Pep Gaurdiola Barcelona has a steely determination that the Rijkaard Barcelona didn't.Now thats something that Fabregas would have to learn if he ever went back, and therefore Keita has the advantage. He's been schooled by Gaurdiola. Its second nature.

Fabregas definitely has steely determination. It's his teammates who lack it.

I still reckon he would have a massive job on his hands dislodging Xavi,Iniesta and Busquets.

Yeah, he would just be backup for Xavi and Iniesta really. Might be better for him to wait until Xavi starts to feel the effects of age before leaving.

Barca have been very forunate with Iniesta and Xavi, they have played a huge amount of Football without sufering any serious injuries or loss of form.

Fabregas would add competition and support to the Barca Squad and would play plenty of games.
