He is a big loss but in Ramsay I think Arsenal have a gem. I believe he will have a similar impact on the team that Wilshere did last season. How will Arsenal line up next season though? Considering you lose Nasri as well. Will you play a 3 or 4 man midfield?
arsenal paid compensation for the player. the player wanted to leave, forget loyalty and all that rubbish, the player decided to transfer to arsenal and improved hugely as a player. fabregas was not guaranteed to be a future star, just look at players whom it didnt work out with such as fran merida. however, barcelona tap up players which is illegal, yet nothing is done about it.
I agree with Swarbs, for their fantastic footballing abilty, Barcelona's off field tactics leave a lot to be desired.
This is what Chelsea have been trying to do to us all summer, with bids of 20-25 million for Modric. Fortunately he hasn't thrown his toys out the pram yet, but when he does we'll be sure to sell him for a knock down price, be it in the next few weeks or next summer. Spurs fans would expect to receive no less than 35 million for Modric, so I would have thought that 50 million would be the market rate for Fabregas - i'd say in terms of ability they're not worlds apart but Fabregas has been at the top for much longer and is younger than Modric.
24 million for Nasri is a great deal and if we get Mata then I will be delighted. Fabregas I am not really happy about as he isn't replaceable but I wish him well. In a way it will be sort of a relief when he finally goes so that we don't have to put up with any more **** from Barcelona.
It's not the **** from Barca that i struggle to deal with - it's the bitching from Arsenal fans about Fabregas lol
