Going to miss him. Always liked him and ever since Chez came to the first team he's been really solid. Will be a great 1st choice GK for another team. He MUST play in the final.

He'll start in the final for sure. Hopefully it will be a great swansong for him. Gutted to be losing him really as he's become a very decent keeper.

Schalke have got a decent keeper on their hands.

I've always said Fabianski is a World Class shotstopper.

It's just a shame the rest of his game is soo erratic.

    Would like to keep him.

Curious, what else does Szczesny have to his game except shot-stopping?

Intelligence is certainly not in there.

Szczesny has had a very decent season. Ironed out some of his wayward decisions and improved on his kicking and distribution.

Up until our last couple of results he was statistically the best keeper in the league and if you look at the thread in general chat most fans of other clubs rated him as the best keeper of the season up until that point.

No idea how his stats look now, but he has had a great season.

I still think Szcz is the better keeper but we have been very lucky with the quality of keepers we've had in depth. Just look how well Mannone has done since leaving. He might end up relegated, but cant be held accountable for that.

Squwaka still has him as the best GK in the Prem. Only 2 Clean Sheets behind Cech (same as Howard). Still a chance for Golden Gloves.

At least we're able to argue about which keeper is the best

Funny how a couple of years ago we had Almunia as 1st choice.

To be fair, he wasn't THAT bad, he was basically a B-goal keeper with the odd C. He had some great games for us, the semi final first leg at United, the first leg at home to Barca (2010), plus he was the main GK in the 2008 team that almost won us the league, we didn't lose the league because mistakes down to him.

He really wasn't. Plus he saved our arses so many times on PKs. Heard he's doing well with Watford so I'm happy for him.

    He wasn't the required standard.
Fab is looking really good, which is fantastic for him, and Arsenal. He has always been a good shot stopper, but he's never been very commanding of his area, which is something Arsenal really need - a big organiser who will claim high balls and shout orders.

Far too good to be a 2nd choice keeper. It's a luxury for you guys to have such a keeper as 2nd choice.

We have Brad Jones FFS - he can hardly catch a ball. The guy is seriously bad!!
I'd rather play Suarez in goal than Brad Jones - we all know Suarez isn't a bad shot stopper #worldcup!

Saying that Reina is still officially a Liverpool player, although he won't come back and play 2nd fiddle to Mignolet.

Sczezney has been good this year. He commands the area quite well now.

Watching Manuel Neuer really makes you realise how much better the elite GK are though. His distribution is on a completely different level and he organises the whole Bayern Back line.

His improvement has been amazing in the last year or so. So team out there has potentially a brilliant keeper as their number one.

He's rumoured to have a pre-contract agreement with Schalke, so he's going to a good club. It's the least he deserves.
