Gone are the days when you used to huddle round the radio on a Monday dinner time with eager expectation of a cracking cup draw, sadly the likes of Mansfield, Tranmere came out with great regularity. We also got the wonderful delights of Scarborough, Whitley Bay and Telford who beat us. Draw time here we go, do miss the velvet bag. Canvey Island or Havant and Waterlooville away, very winnable probably on telly and it's miles away
Wvwrything has to be a circus nowadays. That Scarborough game. Didn't Tom Finney opn their new stadium and then they had the audacity to beat NE 1 - 0? Devious Yorkshiremen!
Haven't got BT and will not have Sky. The 'It is not very important but you may get to play at Wembley' Cup has been moved to 25th! Glad you have a better memory than me.
Have you been to the new Shrews stadium, Maclad? I did go to the Gay Meadow. Got a free ticket to watch Srews play Posh when living at Church Stretton in the late 60's.
Yep been to both have to say much preferred the old ground next to the river had a sort of rustic charm about it. Lived in Church Stretton top part of the country is Shropshire.
Could have been worse, could have been away to the Canaries. We'll put the welcome mat out for Delia and Lee Mack impersonator Neil Adams, it's a winnable game but hardly top draw.
Lawrenson doesn't believe NE can beat SU but if I were BBC Sport, it is a game to televise because both teams will be going leather and tongs at it and plenty of blood spilt. Should be a red card brandished...hopefully fo the Blades.
