No surprise really. That challenge from James was terrible, no wonder there was a reaction. If that had been a Villa player that commited the foul we´d of been up in arms about it.
I agree 1884 he deserved what he got, but in fairness the villa player got him also and should have had a yellow at least
Yes it was a bad tackle from James but nowhere near as bad as Villa made out. Their player could have gone for it aswell James isn't a dirty player and he was shocked to get sent off for it at the end
I agree and I thought that I have just said that, but even though James is not a dirty player it was an awful tackle and he fully deserved to be sent off. If it was the other way around and the foul was on James then surely you have to agree that you would have gone ballistic?
i agree and it was obvious but did you see the villa lad also jump in and land his studs on james? Was both really
No surprises here really! Starting to get a bit worried about the number of red cards we've been getting, didn't we only get two last season, and one was Matty James! To be honest, I think most this season have been pretty dubious. I'm still not convinced by James' card against Villa, I think he went in so slowly that he couldn't possibly have done any damage. MOTD barely had to put it in slow motion!
Real time, i didnt see it looking that bad, but when it was replayed, it was borderline red, you could argue that he wasnt all that far off the floor, but red isnt the wrong decision (you could even say that it was yellow until he faced upto the Villa lad), glad their player got sent off for the retaliation tackle. 3rd time the FA have charged dirty Villa this season.
