Driving earlier, Radio 5, LFC v MCFC… “as you’d expect with these teams you can’t take your eyes off it…” “they play football the right way” … “still 0-0 here, at a glorious Anfield” They can afford to play football the right way: so **** OFF, BBC Why do the commentary teams sound so privileged just to be there and yet they’ll roll up at St James’ and paint a picture of passionate fans that are mildly hard of thinking and whose deluded hopes have lost pace with all sense of reality. there’s a story on BBC website about Dyche and Farke facing pressure - they bracket NUFC north and south but not a single mention in here of Bruce’s exact same “no wins in 7” stat. WTF is going on? Why the easy ride with absolutely no analysis - they don’t have to resort to “sack him” but just ignoring us whilst looking at others no better off, it smells https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58776022 I don’t want to sound paranoid, but every **** hates us
I can’t listen to any of it any more. I avoid talksport like the plague, have no sport subscriptions and don’t even bother with 5live. If they just, maybe occasionally, remind everyone listening that it’s oil money and good fortune that got these clubs to play on the front foot it would help. Would it kill them to say alongside comments of “Man City are amazing” something like “as most clubs would be if they spent £1bn on players”.
Spot on, DPP…. You’d think there were just football teams that were born pretty, whereas in reality the little tarts have just got big tits and snared a sugar daddy who paid for a further set of implants
Haven’t liked the media for years. Always laugh when the media bleats on about the freedom of the press as though it were some great sacred right when what they actually mean is that they want to say or do something. Or more specifically the Owner of the particular media company does. In footballing terms a significant reason that top level football is in the mess it is is due to the media and the likes of Sky with it’s money buying the souls of football clubs.
Yeah. Once upon time the funds came from full grounds (and sales of shirts to loyal supporters)…. these days those things are a ‘nice to have’ rather than the beating heart of thriving clubs.
Meh, you can still watch the Liverpool Man City game and enjoy it. Just cos we're ****e doesn't stop me enjoying the good matches, you can watch them and remember why you're a football fan and that no everything is as painful and turgid as what happens at SJP
I can’t though…. there’s always someone I just find a bit not-to-my-liking, a big white toothed grinning Klopp or a flatters-to-deceive-Grealish or a scouse face gurning out at the tv screen and putting “eh eh chalm down, chalm down soft lad, never walk alone” into my head like a rusty knife dipped in **** and dragged between teeth. I am so bitter that I don’t want to see anyone do anything nice and pretty or smileworthy - I want everyone to feel as **** as me and I want both Man city AND Liverpool to lose 4-0 to each other and see their strikers crocked. So shove your reasonable and logical appreciation of life where the sun doesn’t shine Charlie ;o) I’m only coming out to play when this **** is over.
I'm doing sober October. I already think its ****. I've told the missus that it can't get in the way of 'cans' either.
Looks like your club has become one of those that you despise. I agree with you though, you'd think the top 6 were the only teams in England. I wonder if it's now the top 7 with the oil riches you have acquired. Football is ****ed.
